Anyone plan to grab this when it drops? IGN.com gave it a 10 out of 10 in every category on this game. It seems pretty interesting to say the least. Ive never played the first 2. Will I miss anything going to the 3rd?
I watched a video of the game play and I got to say it looks pretty amazing and it pretty much talked me into buying it. Looks fun.

Midnight pickup for me. Im not into the multiplayer but the 1st 2 have been close to epic, at least for me.

First two were really good IMO. I've played through them both twice already and already pre-ordered #3. I'm not sure the online version will be as good, but willing to give it a try.

I played and beat the first one. A friend had it and let me borrow it. It was good and fun. I liked it a lot. Paul have you played 3 yet?

the sinking cruise ship, where everything is flipped 90 degrees. Although, graphically, outside the French chateau was tops. This final chapter (I think) is fairly decent too
I think you'll see a big difference in the graphics between 1 and 2... but IMO, 2 and 3 are fairly close. I played 2 first and then went back and played 1. I have a feeling 2 will always be my favorite. The opening chapter (with no weapons, only hand to hand) was one of my favorites.Nappy Roots likes this. -
Around a year ago I bought both of them on a whim for cheap. I really liked them but they're a little too short to pay 60 bucks for it. I'll definitely pick it up once the price drops though

I didn't think they were that short. The second was actually pretty long, all things considered. It actually had two different story arcs.
COD is short, Uncharteds haven't been IMO. -
I've been interested in playing these but some other game always seems to come up. One of these days. Maybe after Skyrim...
-
I would say they are short if you are comparing them to any of the big RPG's, or something like Red Dead Redemption, the new Batman games. I think they are longer than the MW/COD/BF campaigns. I did just finish Uncharted 3... a little over 10 hours of game play on normal mode. It's like watching a long long movie really... But I can understand the reluctance to throw down $60 on it. I suppose you could go back and get all of the treasures... I only got like 35 of 100.

The Uncharted games are excellent, I've played through both of the first two. At some point I'll buy and play through the new one as well, I just don't have a ton of time for games these days. I have a lot of fun playing it so for me it's worth 60. That's all I care about not whether I can squeeze 100 hours out of it or something.
