The bid increments are the same as unrestricted free agency. $50K for $300K-$1.0M; $100K for $1.0M-$5.0M; $250K for $5.0M+. A player is awarded to a team when he goes 48 hours without his bid being raised. Teams cannot go over the salary cap when bidding on players; however they can go over the roster limit (53).
