These are the best mocks I've seen to date as far as colour scheme. Honestly though, if we are going to make a change, lets not do it half assed and just make minor tweaks. I would love to see Primary as grey with aqua, orange and white trim. Baring that maybe something even more radical as long as its clean and professional looking. Some of the Mocks floating around look like low level arena league designs.

The secondary logo is the same as the ex-NHL Franchise the Hartford Whalers. No thank you.

Honestly out of every single redesign concept of our logo I have seen (and there are hundreds at this point) NONE come close to the concept we now have.

Just proof to me how well the original team that designed the Dolphins identity did.

Shame this old codger owner of ours is determined to F it up just to try and shake things up.

 

Grey sucks.... It's a depressing color associated most with overcast skies and rainy days.
Nothing says S. Florida more than that????

IMO...it's ****ing awful.

The uniforms look like they will be dated in a week and the secondary logo is a DIRECT rip off of the old Hartford Whalers.

On the bright side, I'd save a lot of money on merchandise because I would not buy a single thing.

 

I loved the Whalers, so it's not an issue for me.

For me, it's the fact that our PRIMARY logo is just a ******* football.

 

The Whalers had one of the best logos/uniform combos in NHL history (the old green ones, not the blue they used at the end).

One of the better mock ups out there. Like the M in the uniform design.

Two things I would change...

1. Get rid of the navy blue. It's out of place.

2. The helmet and logo look like trash. I think we all know the mock up with the mean dolphin? Put that mother ****er on this uniform, and we're looking good.

I really liked #4 the "D" logo; new angle on things.

Dare I say that I was always a fan of the Finheaven type "mean" dolphin.

 

I agree. I understand the south florida color scheme but we are Dolphins they are grey. Get with it, agree they're bad ***.

 

The problem I have with Grey is that grey is so common. The Seahawks new alternate uniforms are grey.

That is what i liked about the orange uniforms. They might not be the prettiest color, however they were at least different.

Who cares about colours, uniforms etc. I want to win dam it!

 

I think more teams in the league have orange jerseys over grey ones.

It represents the culture shift we are going through, and this offseason thus far is really supporting that shift. The logo, colors and uniforms is going to be the big icing on the cake right before the draft.

It's actually a pretty big deal considering I own at least a half dozen jerseys, a dozen hats and countless t-shirts. This is what this franchise will look like for the next decade or more.

i remember posting these mockups a while ago and everyone seemed to love them. totally badass.

 

I LOVE when you guys attempt to paint those that don't like the change as discontents that "wont ever like anything". :lol:

It's hysterical and here is why:

We were already happy with the identity of the team.
We were happy with it for years and years.
We were completely satisfied with the solid logic that was given by the designers of the teams colors and logo.

Its you guys that constantly cried for change that were not happy with the teams identity.
"Aqua dosen't go with my jeans we should be black" "Our logo isn't scary enough" "Dolphins are not scientifically blue so we should be gray" "We should be the sharks it's a scarier animal" "Why would a football team put helmet on it's mascot's logo, I don't get it". My God the insane things I've read on this subject over the years.

Fact is you guys won't be happy with the new change either after a few years.
Some people are just that way.
It's why it's asinine for an organization to change it's branded identity when they already have a great one because fact is you'll NEVER please everyone.
If an organization keeps trying to please everyone they'll never settle on an identity period.

I wonder how the Cowboys, Bears, Steelers, Rams, 49ers, Packers, Falcons, Bills, etc. have the sack not to cave to whimsical fans that want them to change just for their identity just for them?

 

I'm guessing some kid did this in his 3rd grade art class.

 

Mixed with the aqua and a bit of faded orange it would look pretty cool no?
