It does amaze me with what he's done. He's just been a quiet, hardworking, productive player. It's great.
Other somewhat unsung heroes for us this year, IMO, were:
-- G. Camarillo
A guy whom, IMO, has some of the best hands in the league. I hardly remember him dropping a pass. He always moves the chains when we really need it. Super clutch. You could see how important he was to us after he went down with the injury.
-- D. Bess
Highly productive. Great route runner. Another clutch receiver who moves the chains. An UDFA?.....Amazing!
-- D. Martin
He was one of Chad's favorite targets and came up with some amazing, clutch receptions and TDs. It's amazing what a turnaround he had this year. It shows what a good staff can do in bringing out the best in certain players.
-- P. Cobbs.
He averaged something crazy like, 7.5 yds per carry. He often came up with some clutch first downs and was a threat receiving the ball and would brake some key, big plays and TDs. He was real consistent and another quiet, hard working, highly productive player. If we can get Satele or Smiley both whom were supposedly good at pulling, blocking on the move, or someone new, then we could kill with Cobbs on screens, which we never seem to be able to do as well as other teams. I think he would be great for that.
Just some examples. You can add a few. :)

All unsung heros... although another very SUPER unsung hero who didnt get nearly the credit he deserves is Lou Polite and his 8 of 9, 3rd and 4th and 1, almost 100% conversion rate.. The guy simply knows how to get that extrememly tough short yardage... He's also very important to this team and we should all be very happy we found, and signed him.. Hes a guy we can count practically 100% of the time in those tough yardage situations.. When was the last time we had a guy like that?

How about Nate Jones and Akin Ayodele as unsung players on the Defense?
Jones filled in fairly well as our #3 Cb with two sacks, and Akin A had 2 or 3 Int's and was fourth in tackles for us.Sceeto and Rocky Raccoon like this. -
I don't know if he's "unsung", but Bell did a great job of keeping the secondary in check. Without him back there, we probably would have given up alot more yardage through the air.

How about Renaldo Hill? He's the one who made sure the DB's lined up right and everything was correct. Just ask Yeremiah Bell how big of an impact Renaldo Hill had. Sure he wasn't the best cover DB but he quietly did some nice things.

pretty good read....
I agree Jupiter...it's hard to be unsung when you're leading the team in a particular stat , but he was definitely one of the key parts to keeping our game together. -

Ricky played pretty well this year, just the fact that he played in all 17 games was something, however, if he cannot find that extra gear, then i think it might be time to move on.. I really cant buy a 30 year old losing power, aggressiveness and speed all of a sudden, not old enough for that imo, if indeed he has lost those qualities that means to me, his heart and mind are truly not in the game. He was so reserved this year in his demeanor on the field.
i hope that with better oline play, we will see a more explosive ricky. -

How about Anthony Fasano? His 7 TDS this year were 3rd among Tight Ends, behind Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez.
