According to the Jacksonville (FL) coroner, Heath Benedict's cause of death was sudden Cardia Disrhythmia. Benedict also suffered from Dialated Cardiomyopathy.

The final Toxicology exam indicated that no significant drugs or substances were found in the body, except caffeine, which the coroner said the levels found indicated that he probably had either a cup of coffee or a coca cola shortly before his untimely death.

Help support the Heath Benedict Foundation and get your "Heathstrong" Wristbands in Newberry Red color that says "Always in our Hearts RIP Heath"

Glad to see it wasn't drugs. Such a shame though, he could have been a special player. RIP.
