Pretty good blocker I think. Might be confusing him for someone else.

He had his moments in SD. I am a little surprised he did so poorly in Carolina.

It wouldn't be "great" at all. Mario Williams would have been great, as a contrast.

But Naanee would be a nice addition to the WR group.

Mario Williams would be a great signing if the salary cap didn't exist.

I wouldn't buy one either, but I'd probably buy a jersey-style t-shirt because the last name amuses me.

Can't get very excited about this signing. It would be easy to be critical of it for obvious reasons but we will see. Just another effort to dig up a gem among the cast offs.

This would be a good signing with a lot of upside IMO... I live in San Diego and my family and friends are season ticket holders so I am the guy at a charger broncos game with an irrelevant phins jersey on haha, with that said I have seen a lot of naanee and everyone here is a big fan. With a good qb this guy can make all the plays to be a good number 2 receiver and a greatttt 3rd down guy. I say make it happen

Don't want him. Watched him drop the ball or run a bad route too many times last year. He was eventually benched for LaFell, something that should have happened sooner.

Usually 10 or so WRs in camp and this can be one of them. One year deal, no harm done. Probably a guy one of the scouts liked coming out of Boise.

Hopefully just a training camp body. Saw him play pretty crappy for the panthers all year. But we'll see

I seem to remember him putting up good athletic numbers when he came out. Looks like he ran a 4.41 at 6'2" and 225 lbs, 40 inch vertical, 4.20/6.73 agility. Has a reputation for being real strong and 19 bench reps is good for a WR but given the way they talk about his weight room prowess I'd have expected more.

Lemme hear ya say unnnhh, Naanee. (couldn't resist)

19 reps at 225 is basically nothing btw. i think brady quinn did something like 25 or 26.

I put up multiple sets of 20 reps as part of my work out but to prove a point I trained for a couple months to push out as many reps as possible at 225. by the end of it I was doing 40 reps on the regular. The point is you can't judge strength based off this event aaaaand 19 reps is basically nothing. Fun facts; the record for the most reps is stephen peaehaheah (sp?) on the bears d line and the record for fewest is fred smoot, at one, arm shaking rep. If someone can find a clip of it I'll thank you in every post i see of yours for a week.

19 reps for a WR is good regardless what you say.

    I agree.

However based on his reputation for being pound for pound the strongest guy on Boise State's team, setting team position records at both QB and WR, I'd have thought maybe somewhere in the 20's.

I find his all around strength (box squat, power clean etc) more impressive than bench press. Dude is physically strong everywhere, if the light clicks on for him, might be a good pick up.

Exactly, hes other strength numbers are very impressive, not a guy that just focuses on bench.

He was fairly decent in San Diego. Not his fault that he was forced to work with a rookie last year, who was inexperienced and just learning the offense and would rather run than throw Naanee the ball. :couch:
