With Long, Incognito and Pouncey? That works.

The $3 million exception doesn't work like that. It has to be applied to a player that has 5 or 6 accrued seasons (forget which right off hand) and only one million of it maybe used per player.

Oh, we're taking receiving. I kinda figured that "take it to" referred to, you know, actually taking it to there after a handoff.

While I think that Bush is over rated as a play maker, he does add balance to the offense and he didn't cost much. I saw that lack of complementary offensive talent and a horrid OC as our biggest deficiencies last year.

You also have to take into account the fact that he only has a career 500 or so carries. He hast had the most opportunities. And he hasn't been on the field on the wrong side of the 50 very much. That wad usually when PT was in the game.

Okay, then he did it twice or thrice in five years. Not exactly what I'd call a homerun threat to be frank.

I'm sorry when I misunderstood the point then, but "taking it" is usually used to refer to RBs breaking a big run to the house. And that's not exactly been Bush's forte so far.

There's a reason he only has X amount of carries. He's not good at it. It's been 5 years.

I would think this indicates they'll be using a fair amount of Wildcat. One thing Bush could excel at would be the jet sweep role.

Bush has had only one play 60+ yards in his career. That came in his rookie season of 2006. In 2006, I was 14. It's been a while.

Show me someone we can get that has a bunch of 60+ runs we could acquire.....Bradshaw has 2 in his career....wasn't he suppose to be a HR hitter?

His longest was 48 last year in 280 carries.

I think he prefers his bush in the physical possession of another human being, preferably of the female gender. I could be wrong tho.

Focus on the itallics in the original.

If that's not the issue, then stop picking on Bermudians. We're a small, nondescript country whose greatest contribution to the world thus far was a place to maroon pigs and people 400 years ago on your way to America.

If we get the Reggie Bush who was on a mission during the 2009 season playoffs, this could be exciting for us.

I like this deal b/c, even if he doesn't rack up the stats, he changes the way defenses will play us & prepare for us.
I'm looking forward to seeing Reggie catch the ball in space while Brandon pulls coverage his way. Ditto for seeing Brandon having more space to make plays thanks to the attention Reggie will get.

I thought this as well. I'm also intrigued about the possibility of having Bush and Clay on the field at the same time.

Why would I? I didn't argue that we'd need a big home run hitter. I think it's a mistake to rely on a rookie and an often hurt Reggie Bush who hasn't been nearly that X factor player everyone thought he'd be. I don't mind adding speed to the unit. I mind that, as indicated by the Lombardi tweet, we seem to think we can actually improve the running game with Thomas and Bush sharing the load.

Just to beat a dead horse this seems like comprehensive list of his TDs

    http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BushRe00/touchdowns/

I must admit I thought he had more big plays than he has. I guess it's just picture Bush in the open field vs Brown or Bess. I FEEL like Bush has a better chance to take it all the way, but maybe I am wrong.

EDIT: I am still happy to get him if it only costs us a 6th or so.

@evansilva New #Dolphins RB Reggie Bush's contract makes him easy to cut next year if he doesn't produce in '11. Fins could clear $3M under 2012 cap.

Or they really like Bush. That's what scares me the most, to be honest. Like back when they thought they could turn Pat White into an NFL quarterback when everyone was saying he should move to WR, and with good reason too. That Lombardi tweet worries me, as it makes a lot of sense, too.
