CrunchTimeretired_adminOPMoreno, who suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 2, told the Palm Beach Post today that he’s still about four weeks away from returning.
“I probably got like four more weeks,” Moreno said. “About four more weeks and I’ll be good.”
It was a surprising dose of honesty from Moreno who can be coy with the media. Moreno was asked twice if he was being serious, and he said yes.
UPDATE.
### Each of the last two days, Moreno told different reporters from two different newspapers he will miss another month. One other newspaper (which does a good job covering the Dolphins) reported those quotes today.
When Moreno told me that yesterday, I concluded his tongue was planted firmly in cheek for several reasons: 1) A team official who heard the exchange believed he was messing around. 2) He insisted he was in horrible pain, which clearly isn't the case. 3) He had firmly told reporters previously that he didn't want to discuss a timetable.
So what's the truth here? Moreno originally told at least one teammate he hoped to return for the Oct. 12 Green Bay game. But since that time, a Dolphins front-office official has told others that they expect Moreno to possibly miss a couple more weeks. The Dolphins remain hopeful he will return at some point in October.

Its a good thing Miller is finally putting things together.Also the widely disregarded Thomas seems to have found a groove.:yes:

He'll be a great asset to have when he's back and is fresh for the second half of the season.

Loved seeing Thomas breaking out last week, then Williams come in and break tackles left and right. All the better when Moreno finally returns fully healthy

Fire does need to come from the coach. The coach doesn't have to be fiery though. You can get players to run through brick walls for you, without running through one yourself. I don't think anyone is running through a wall for Philbin. Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy had players who loved them. Tomlin too. Bill Belichick. Not fiery coaches.

Let's not crown Thomas yet. It's only been one game from him so far this year. But Miller's doing his thing, though.
Unlucky 13subscriberWell, that really sucks. Basically he'll lose half the season due to coming down wrong while being tackled. Was really hoping that he could help pound the ball and control the clock against the Pack and Bears. At this rate, he'll likely have to completely tear it up when he comes back to get any sort of solid contract extension too.
Hopefully, he feels better sooner than his estimate.
