Only two teams got A's from USA Today. Guess who.

You build the foundation and pour the concrete before you worry about the carpet and drapes. Bill, Jeff, and Tony realize this and therefore know that without a solid Oline or Front Seven, all the franchise QB's, 1000 Yd Receivers, or shut down CB's will help. About time we build a foundation and not try to just spakle the walls.

More first day grades and this from a Pats fan...

    Miami Dolphins

Picks: Round 1 - Jake Long (OT), Round 2 - Phillip Merling (DE), Chad Henne (QB)

Another great first day, the Dolphins selected Jake Long who could anchor their offensive line for the next decade, Phillip Merling (who freefell to them for some strange reason) and Chad Henne who will battle for the starting job and most likely get it.

    Grade: A +

And if he doesn't, does it change the grade? I don't think so.
