Hey guys, so my buddies from college and i are planning a gettogether in vegas in july. I'm the only one that has ever been there before, but it was with family, so obviously not under the same circumstances anywho, the one sort of anal guy in my group of friends is trying to plan it all out, and he wants us to buy these "VIP passes" for these clubs that run at like 100 dollars. I've been trying to convince him that they probably aren't worth it, because even though they claim to get you in the front of the line, I've heard that you still don't really get in fast (especially when you are 6 23 year old guys). i was just wondering if anyone had some personal horror stories or anything about these type of passes that i can use in my argument against them. any help would be great! thanks
sick, it wasn't that funny. why'd you have to mark it as answered? now i'm not gonna get a REAL answer!
They don't work. well, they will if you have $2k reserved for bottles with the passes. Very competitive down there, and the only people that bypass the lines have personal links or a lot of money - in some cases money still isn't enough.
If you want to not worry about getting into the club, get a table. Thats really the only advice I can offer, as I won't even bother trying to go to a club there unless I have a table. If you guys aren't willing to spend that kind of money, then just avoid the crowded clubs.
Those things are worthless, if you are trying to get into the popular clubs. If you don't mind about getting into the most popular clubs, you'll do alright at the other places, which are still crowded, just not a million people sitting outside. What days are you going? Vegas is the one place you truly do not want to plan ahead by too far. Things are too fluid. And everything is a cab ride away. Plan your hotel, meals etc., but that's it. I've gone to Vegas already probably 35-40 times, maybe even more. Sticking to a schedule is no bueno. You'll never discover Vegas. IF things go right, half of yall will get lost anyway. Go find some girls the first night that will guide you around the second night If you don't have a hotel room yet, check out the Hilton. It's off the strip but not by far (by the convention center). There is a tram that runs all day, or take the cab everywhere like we do. $115 for any two nights, plus six free buffets (and $200 rewards, 2 free spa entries etc.). $115 for any 3 nights (dirt cheap). $169 for 3 nights plus all the goodies, or $169 for 4 nights. These work for any days, including weekends. Check out slickdeals.net for the details. Really easy. Also, I have a couple guys and gals out there (friends from San Diego that now live up there) who work the scene, but with 6 dudes its really hard to get a connect. If you guys want bottle service, lemme know, they can't make it free, but they try to reduce the number of bottles you must purchase. Or just meet some ladies (the ratio of guys to girls is very very important). Sometimes we snatch them up around the entrance, just ask them "hey wanna get it in" etc.
thanks bro. yea we're going towards the end of the month 23rd-27th (thurs to monday) so the clubs will surely be packed. we're staying at the flamingo, just because its almost dirt cheap for being on the strip (it's not a great hotel/casino, but it allows us to walk to nearly everything else) we haven't talked about the pass thing in a while. i think i've convinced them it's not worth it. i'm with you, i would just like to play it by ear, but if things are gonna get 'planned' with or without my approval, i figure i might as well give them input that will at least help.
Funny, I'm there for that weekend as well for a Bachelor party. Bout 40 of us are going (my girlfriend is also going with her friends for a bachelorette party for a wholly separate wedding). I'll find out then what's the hot spots for the weekend
