An old washed up CB trying to come back in the middle of the preseason. He probably won't get a sniff until week 1 when his contract won't be guaranteed.

Get him, cut Davis. Cheap vet who knows our system and won't be too heavily relied on.

I don't know what kind of teammate the guy was, and I am not the biggest Finnegan fan, but I would not be surprised if the Phins consider him an option due to the fact that Jamar Taylor cannot stay healthy. Are they ready to move on from Davis? How reliable is Aikens, realistically? Is Finnegan a viable option for some spot work at safety?
I guess we'll see. -

Non-news. If your a fan of any team and want Finnegan, then dont wonder why your team is mediocre at the end of year, I still remember that second to last play against GB where all he had to do was man up, grow a pair and make a tackle in bounds on a ROOKIE and end the game (Which seems like something that a seasoned, veteran CB should be able to do with NO PROBLEM AT ALL), but nooooooo..... this ******* guy decided to do a square dance with him before trying to tackle him like a Disney Princess. I rather give any of you on these forums a try first before relying on this imposter of a 'tough CB'.
Do every NFL team a favor and stay retired Cinderella -

He started last season OK, then just got worse as the season went on, saying that he has lost a step is an insult to everyone taking a step anywhere in the world, and he'll have declined even more this year.

As far as I'm concerned, Cortland Finnegan (#24) basically retired on this play. As soon as Eric Decker catches the ball, Cortland Finnegan slows down to a jog, gives up on the play, and Decker runs for a 74 yd TD. Even if Finnegan couldn't catch him, I felt it was unprofessional for him to not even hustle & try.
