    Summary
This is a hard-nosed player who LOVES to stick his nose in there. He struggles against bigger receivers . Mainly, he is a slot CB. In the conversation as a borderline starter, imo.

    Thanks bro.

I see a lot of Vontae Davis in him. Very physical and loves contact. Not afraid to go after it and I love corners like that. He may not be a star but he's definitely solid and will be a big help to our secondary whether he starts or plays nickel.

You think Mike Nolan got a stiffy reflecting back on this summer?

The difference I see is that Vontae has amazing burst closing forwards onto the ball, and a bit better speed than Sapp. Also, vontae can and will go up and high point a ball in the air to take it way from a leaping WR. Sapp doesn;t seem to do that very often. He plays more of a game of positioning himself to disrupt or block the WR from being an eligible target. He also seems to be mindful of the tackle as he covers, in terms of being ready to make the tackle if the WR catches the ball. Maybe because he doesn;t have Vontae's level of confidence that he will go up and take it away while it's in the air.

Well, if we blitz as often as possible, the Cb's have to tackle well more so than having wonderful ball skills as you want to deny the Receiver a big play by going for the Int and missing it.

Another reason why Clemons will be a problem, I fear. He misses open field tackles.
