Great read... this guy is one of my favorite personalities in the league. http://trenchescomic.com/tales/post/it-aint-all-fame-and-fortune
You actually read that site or find it somewhere else? I read that site and just came here to post it when I saw it.
I saw it on reddit, actually. I am trying to figure out the website though. The new reader section has me totally perplexed!
Kluwe actually frequents Reddit. If you hang out around r/nfl you may see his posts from time to time. They are usually really funny.
Yup. Also, his twitter and Brandon McCarthy from the Oakland Athletics are pure awesome. Those two are hilarious.
Doubtful. By the time guys make it to the NFL they don't really do the insurance thing as much as the college guys. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
It's not that. It's just that typically once a player gets to the NFL and have collected a paycheck or series of paychecks they don't worry about taking out insurance like the young guys who have a payday waiting. I work for a company that specializes in insuring athletes and we've had many high profile guys and top ten picks as clients. It's much easier to convince a 20 year old the value of a policy that will pay them in case they never go pro then a guy who has already earned several million. I'm not saying that NFL guys don't take out these policies, it's just not as often as NCAA guys. In fact we only have one NFL client and his policy is only for if he gets hurt off the field. Also these policies often only pay if you can't ever play again, not if you miss a season. So even if Kluwe had a policy and tore his ACL he wouldn't get paid despite missing a season, only if that injury ended his career.
https://twitter.com/Mrs_McCarthy32 she is at her best during games, especially when brandon is pitching.
