In other words, Jonathan Vilma wants to be employed.

Vilma is old, has a bum knee, and only played in 12 games the past 2 seasons. If we're rolling the dice on oft injured ILBs, we'd be better off looking at Pat Angerer, who at least is only 27.

I'm sure the Cowboys are kicking the tires on both. Gingerly. Very gingerly.

The Dolphins are already taking a chance on one over the hill player on defense, Finnegan. So taking a chance on another over the hill defensive player really doesn't make much sense.

Much like Finnegan, Vilma would have been a great pickup 3-4 years ago. Now though, it is probably time he accept that it is time to get on with his next profession in life.

If finnegan has indeed regained the edge he was talking about he will be one of the best signings of the offseason IMO. He's one of those players you hate to play against but if he's on your team he's great. Ask Andre Johnson. But part of what made a finnegan great was his willingness to mix it up and maybe when he got that fat payday from st Louis it went away for a while.
