Highly doubt we show any interest... We would have to somehow unload Gibson's contract too. We have way too much money tied on receivers...

That's what I was thinking... if there is some way to move Hartline and Gibson, I would do this in a heartbeat. He would be the PERFECT complement to Mike Wallace. He would completely change the complexion of our offense.
I know it won't happen, but dang. That would be exciting. -

But yeah, it's a lot more likely he ends up in New England, and also factoring in Tampa's penchant for gift wrapping them good players for practically nothing. -
Regardless if we show interest or not, we have to move Gibson to an interested team. If we're not using him, he's just eating up cap space. If Seattle calls and offers a 5th-6th, do it. We got to roll with Matthews/Jarvis and give them more playing time. Gibson is a good player but if we're not using him, have someone else pay that salary..

I disagree. We'd take on a pretty big contract and Jackson is past his prime. Not to mention the amount of time it would take him to get comfortable with the offense. Can you name very many trade deadline acquisitions that panned out that year?Aqua4Ever04 and Dol-Fan Dupree like this.

Had we cut Brian Hartline before signing him to that ridiculous contact, this could've been a possibility. Not now though.

a player and a 3rd ? wow i think you overvalue jackson big time, seattle just got rid of a percy harvin for a conditional 4th that could be a 2nd rounder if he meets certain criteria, without another player though, he also is getting paid a lot, which makes it even harder to ask for high compensation, a 5th rounder would be my best offer

No way can we afford that contract. Also, Im not sure how well he fits in Lazor's offense. I know that he's been productive throughout his career, but a lot of the time he seems to just out-physical the guy covering him.
