With each passing week, Dolphins second-year cornerback Vontae Davis is becoming less and less unknown around the NFL.
Davis has caught the attention of just about every high-profile quarterback he has either faced or will be facing this season with his play in the secondary, starting with future of Hall-of-Famer Brett Favre of the Minnesota Vikings.
Favre called Davis “the best cornerback nobody has heard about,” after Miami beat Minnesota at the Metrodome, 14-10, in Week 2, and New England’s Tom Brady also sung his praises before Davis held Randy Moss without a catch in what proved to be Moss’ last game in a Patriots uniform.
