Seems like Vontae and Agent Smith are neck and neck in Sparanos eyes

DAVIE — Dolphins rookie Sean Smith made his first NFL start Sunday at Atlanta, but he played fewer snaps than fellow rookie cornerback Vontae Davis.
Both had their struggles, but ultimately impressed coach Tony Sparano, who plans to rotate them unless a choice becomes obvious.

very glad to hear this. Vontaes been getting so much undeserved crap for no reason.

Competition brings out the best in players. Let 'em compete.
i see nothing but good things in this. Less snaps one of them gets, the better he will do when he DOES get an opporunity to get on the field.RickyNeverInhaled and adamprez2003 like this. -
Says a few things to me ... Vontae is coming along nicely and has picked it up, which is good. And Sean has leveled off a little bit, and has been inconsistent. Best part is that I think they both can still go a long way as I believe they both have the talent to do so. Going to be very interesting to see how the mature and progress over the next few years.

I think they'll be fine.

I think it's easy to forget that this regime is still worried more about progression in talent than wins and losses.

I love that they are pushing one another.
