I voted for Maclin.
-
No love for James Laurinaitis?
-
Is Henne not considered a rookie? He only played in minimal action last year.
How Sanlose even got nominated is beyond me. -
It was clearly Maclin this week.

i thought Sanchez did some great things last night....didn't look like a rookie at all. meh, i don't like the mindless bashing...
-
WTF did he do to be on the list? ..... Oh yeah; he plays for a New York team.

What a joke
that he is even being considered!! Guess he has to lose a few more before everyone stops bending over for him.azfinfanmang likes this. -

Really?
I guess I was watching a different game.
He had one pass...one single pass that was anything above mediocre, and that wouldnt be anything without Crayon making the nice catch.
He overthrew his recievers numerous times.
He did the Cardinal no-no with intentional grounding.
He went 12/24 for a 174, and shouldve had two INT's to add to that.
Face it, the hype machine is on. Right now, they are making him out to be the poster boy, but just like Hollywood typically does to kids, it is probably gonna hurt him much in the long run.late again, Clipse and unluckyluciano like this. -

is moreno not latino?? -
Sure, ever hear of his mom Rita? :shifty: :hump:
I watched him run the Donkees version of the Wildcat...I think they called it the Nightmare or something...but he was pretty solid with it.Agua likes this. -

Complete joke that Sanchez is even nominated for this. Maclin wins this award hands down, or should anyways.

I'm not that biased. I mean, did he make some superb throws? Yes. And he is deservedly on the list. This is a ROOKIE of the week voting. I have seen much worse make the list. His performance was pretty good for a rook, esp. for one playing QB.
Inasmuch as I would not vote against him, I would vote for the rook most deserving. And it it between Maclin and Collie. IMO, Maclin gets it.
The only problem I have is that Henne played a much more polished game, and in some regards, is being overshadowed by Sanchez. If I were a Jets fan (what a nightmare), I would not be unhappy with Sanchez's performance. But Henne played magnificently and made some very tough throws. I am so happy with how he played. -
Sanchez had a terrible game. He made two nice plays, one being the deep pass and the other being the pass to Edwards on the broken play.
I've never seen what others do in him, and WANTED to Jets to trade up for him so badly. He will set their franchise back, quote me, mark my words, he is at best an average QB. -
Every year the NFL feels like they have to hang the Rookie darling plaquard on somebody.
Sanchez has that honor this year. A large part of that is the entire NY glamour blitz and the non-stop hype that comes with it.
He was very pedestrian his only year of playing in college with plenty of weapons and a great line in front of him.
In Pre-season he made a few plays, but during the regular season he hasn't been that great.
Gruden mentioned it a few times last night, the kid shouldve stayed in school another year. He has a great line in front of him, a good running game and now has Crayon to throw to.
One thing I do know, the NY media will turn on you as quickly as they immortalize you, and I think its a matter of time for Sanchez.Agua likes this. -
