Not sure how many of you guys/gals know who he was. I can remember seeing him on the news as far back as when I first started watching tv. He made the report when Kennedy was shot, as well as Martin Luther King, and when Armstrong walked on the moon. Everybody who broadcasts the news today should be thankful he was around. R.I.P. Mr. Cronkite.

I knew him. Nice guy. Bit deaf at the end. Hillary Clinton gave a eulogy for his wife when she passed away a few years ago. Their family priest passed away recently (might have been a cardinal or something since he went back and forth to the vatican)
He had two daughters and one son. After his wife passed away, he started dating his assistant (i believe). I'm not sure but the girlfriend may end up getting alot of his wealth and the family may get screwed
Two of his best friends were Andy Rooney and Kurt Vonnegut. Nice guy overall. RIP -
One of the finest anchormen ever. Many of us grew up watching Walter Cronkite on the nightly news and watched him report the major events of our time (JFK assignation, the moon landing, Vietnam war etc).
