Just me I guess. But shouldn't we run the ball more ?
Control the ball, and good aggresive defense. Basics

You guys obviously know more than me, but without a running game we wont win diddly squat, trust me.
You cant run on first down and get no yardage and then abandon it on second down like they did last game. I understand you do what works, but with no running game nothing works.
No Offense, no Defense. -

I called plays in the last game and the Fins duly done what the Jets wanted.
I want a Fins Offense to do what they want and the opposing D unable to stop them. Thats when I know we can win the big one :yes:DolfanJake likes this. -
Henning is taking way too much abuse from the fan base. The offense isn't why they lost to the Jets.

By no means have i been getting at Henning, but in all teams that get the big one, eventually, its based on a great Defense and a good running game. I know recently drew brees has been an exception, but expect it to go back to the good old days sometime soon  -

Kind of hard to argue with the offensive output versus the Jest not too many teams have put up the kind of yardage and points we did against a Ryan defense. Sure we left some plays on the field and I'm sure we would have loved to run better but we did enough on offense to win that game. The defense made Sanchez look like Johnny Unitas out there, no excuse for that.

The crap must have reached the bottom of the hill because someone just mentioned Wannstedt and success in the same idea.

I forgot you are all American, and the way we and you perceive things.
I have no problem with Henne passing or the for the most part, the way Henning play calls, i just think we should run he ball more. What is the point in having Williams and Brown if you are not going to run it more. You might as well trade one of them the way we have played strategically. Perhaps Williams or the O line are'nt up to it whem it comes to rushing. This isn't meant to be a knock on the team, just a question, thats all. -

Dustin Keller becomes a footnote if we stop settling for field goals. -
Iam not sayin fire henning, but I def. have some philosophical, and some down and distance issue's with him, dating back to last year.. -

Wanny ball, is meant to be a run based team that plays excellent defense but if your team can also pass the ball, it's hard to stop, and a good scheme to run.
That is basically the Air Coryell offense in a nut shell. Pound the ball to open up passing and take time off the clock. Spread the field with some deep passes to oversized Wr's. Add in some defense and there you go.
Wanny's stubborn *** should have kept with what he learned instead of being so one demensional. He followed the blueprint he was taught almost to a tee by hiring Norv Turner, who runs a Coryell based offense, but that's where Wanny's stubborness took over. He gets one of the better OC's in the game then handcuffs him to run run run....
