Might as well get a thread started. Patch 1.3 and Operation Broken Mirror will be out within the next 3 weeks.
Is it true that this game can only be played online? I'm looking to grab a PS3 and this was one of the games I wanted to get. I don't play online though. Does this mean that I can't play it?
Yeah, unfortunately it is a strictly online game. They had a single player campaign mode in the works but decided to scrap it before they released the game. That said, its still by far my favorite game. If you don't mind me asking, why don't you play online? No access? Or just not your thing?
I like warhawk a lot, i feel its missing some things though. Like there should be more you can do I don't know just something.
I played it the other day, and needless to say I suck. It was kind of fun, but I found the opposition with the binoculars was kind of unfair. I also found it kind of hard to aim guns properly.
That's what I am afraid of..lol. I'll start playing and get my butt kicked by a bunch of 8 year olds. I'll quit, and never play it again.
Hard to aim guns? The rifle locks on once you put the crosshairs on someone. Which ones are you referring to? The binoculars are my 2nd favorite weapon behind the mines. Hint: if you see or hear the binoculars coming take cover, its an airstrike so if your under something you'll be safe. There absolutely is a learning curve. Try to stay on the lvl 1 or 2 servers. They are rank restricted and will keep you with the other noobs. Trust me once you put some time in you'll get the hang of it and start smoking people.
I don't know I was trying to shoot people with the pistol, and it just seemed like the bullets would fly right by them no matter where I aimed. And I don't know what servers or what. I just looked for one that had a lot of people, and it ended up being CTF.
First mistake, using the pistol. That thing worthless. I use the knife more than the pistol. I play CTF more than anything. When you log into a game the server type and level is in the name of the server along with the map size. Level 1 being the easiest and 4 being the hardest.
I made Airman 1st Class today. I'll make sergeant soon if i can get that warhawk recruiting badge. I suck with the warhawk right now so i have some work to do.
Good Luck with that one bro. Definitely the hardest one I've had to get yet. My next rank up requires 5 air to air machine gun kills, yikes. Some advice for the recruiting ribbon, Cluster Bombs and TOW missiles are your friend(s).

The Patch will be free. New weapons, fixed bugs, etc.... Operation Broken Mirror will probably be the same as Omega Dawn was, about $8 for the new map and vehicle.
Omega Dawn is pretty cool. The map is HUGE. The Dropship is a beast, very hard and awkward to fly though. Has some really powerful guns on it though. It can also pick up a tank or jeep and carry it.

Downloaded the patch this morning so I'll be ready to go tonight! Should be ranking up tonight too with a couple good rounds.
Really? I'm dying at work today, can't wait to get home and try out the new weapons that were released in the new patch.
