Not everyone gets NFL Network. I used to but they took it off our cable package. Thanks Gish.

I know this, but don't you think they should be able to include it in your package if you wish to have it for something like an extra dollar or two a month? Seems stupid to me that that isn't an option.

its called stalemate. NFL doesnt want to charge extra for it. Cable companies do. Bottom line is that the Style channel can be added at no charge, without anyone asking for it. But we can beg for the NFL network until we're blue in the face, and get nothing.

ugh, this feed is crap. im getting 15 seconds of commercial, then it freezes and i get nothing.

EDIT: still the same. ive reloaded the page over a dozen times. it freezes before the commercial ends. now im starting to submit angry messages in the comment box everytime it fails to load the feed. why is it so hard to get a channel that i want? i get countless channels that have no business even existing, but not the one i want the most. and even when its broadcast on the internet it doesnt work. so lame. so lame.

NFL Network certainly does cost extra, even when its on Basic.

The only difference between having it on Basic and having it on a premium tier is that the charge gets billed to every cable customer when its on Basic in the form of a rate increase as opposed to the premium tier where only the people that want the channel will pay for it. Also with being on Basic the NFL gets more advertisement money as they can say they're in more homes then they can being on a premium tier.

The rate increase for Basic customers would be very significant as the money the NFL wants for a cable company to carry NFLN is exorbitant. If they could include Sunday Ticket with NFLN more cable companies would be willing to eat some of the cost of NFLN...but with the way it is today all cable can get is NFLN where their subscribers are being barraged with advertisements for Sunday Ticket/DirecTV.

Latest rumor I heard is that NFLN is hemorrhaging money and the league is seriously considering shutting it down and leasing the content to another network.
