What a great line Dallas has. Collins, Free, Martin. All beasts. Why can't we get a line like that???
They drafted very well to get there, that's not what this team does...we trade a1st and a second for a tweener who only played about 30% of his defensive snaps while in college. Sure. He is an elite talent but is only situational in the Pac 12?? Ehhh it's ok, we will fix him.
We had a shot at Zack Martin. Who did we draft instead? Probably somebody who isn't even on the team.
Tyron Smith just got beat clean on a big 3rd down, knocked DAL out of field goal range. All lines let up pressures and cost their teams some points.
You do realize, though, that no team has a line like that other than Dallas. It's one of the best assembled lines the NFL has seen in some time.
According to thephins, record isnt on the quarterback, its on the team. They would have the same record regardless of who thw quarterback is..
Just like it's crazy to wonder why we don't have an elite QB, it's crazy to wonder why we don't have an elite offensive line. It may be crazier with the OL because it takes 5 good picks or signings. It would've been easier for us to draft Matt Ryan or sign Drew Brees or leave Henne in to "suck for Luck," (no incentive for the coaching staff or front office to do that unless the owner incentivizes them) than for us to have 5 really good offensive linemen. No mention of Tannehill for me. I think the jury is out, but I question where/how we would replace him with an upgrade. My point is extremely valid though. People ***** and moan about OL woes, but here we see the best OL in the league losing week after week because they have no QB. It is a valid point, whatever you think.
