My god my heart was racing on that 4th and 5. Thank you TED GINN JR!!!! Not to point out the obvious but our ST sucks.
And Mr. Pennington seems to be different the last 2 weeks. I'm starting to worry. Hopefully he will turn it around next week, because we'll surely need him.
Yes I agree. On that safety he should have threw the ball at Ronnies feet. I'm very concerned about this team playing the Pats. I don't see Miami kicking their *** like in week 3.
This game damn near killed me as well. I had a feeling it was going to be close game... I didnt think it would come down to us actually having to come from behind to win it like that.
I hate the conservative mentality with this team leading by 6 points Shouldn't we be in kill mode until the very end? I also hate the prevent we run when we have a lead.
Agreed, and that's one of the main differences between this year and last...last season we couldn't have made that end game push to pull off the W.
More like a Stressful min! Then on the 4th and 1 Field goal attempt got my heart racing. Its how I know I'm still alive
The thing is the Fins ST had been playing great until that one punt return and then it all went down the crapper. Maybe the Fins should consider doing like some teams and playing a lot of starting defensive players on the ST.
AGREED. Charlie Anderson once again was called for a hold, he is the new Hagan on ST. Everytime a big play would happen Hagan would get caught for holding.
Been watching this team since '82. If I haven't had a heart attack watching yet, I never will But your point is taken!! Hey, isn't it nice to see how well this team keeps coming up w/ HUGE fourth-quarter drives! The fact they've learned how to do this already, while the team is still building up it's talent, is saying something!
Not justifying it but our defense owned those guys most of the game, I'm sure they weren't expecting a punt return touchdown.
Not really, our average drive start position was our 20 yard line... And Oakland? 27.2 yard line! We need to learn how to tackle on kickoff/punts... and how to not hold on kick return and punt return...
Very true but I don't like these last min wins! They did it would have been a shame to lose that game with the defense played as well as they did. Given the condition of the ST anyone could run it back on us.
I think I just took my first breath since the 4-5 episode in the late part of the fourth quarter. Not to mention the amount of alcohol you have to consume to get through times like that. It's BS. I drank twice as much in the final 5 minutes than I did for the whole game. That's gotta be unhealthy.
Ha! This is nothing new. I've been saying for awhile now, that I'm going to sue the Miami Dolphins for giving me heart problems. =), but this does feel great now! Woooooooo!!!!!
These last two weeks have been really tough. If Sparano an Parcells don't fire the ST coach we are going to end up losing a game or two because of it. All day long we could not stop them on our kickoffs, and then Shane Lechler repeatedly booted it 55 yards pinning us deep in our end..and of course we have to commit a penalty on every kick off and punt.
RB23's fumble offensive pass protection on the right side of hte O-Line was awful special teams coverage they made the game a hell of a lot closer than it should have been - but again the ghost of Miami past didn't rise up and lose this game.
It seemed like Chad was not very mobile, even less so than normal, and his foot/ankle seemed to bothering him.....but I have to wonder why we called a pass like that backed up in our own end. Some of the play calling was horrible, but I think we shot ourselves in the foot more than anything else. Clock management was also pretty bad at times and cost us a shot at a FG.
thats good to hear from him and kinda figured it had something to do with that. If you watched the game his piocket colapsed mega fast. He really had no time to do anything. Protecting the football was his best option/. Still safties hurt like a mo fo give up 2 pts and then kiuck it back to them and give them a shot at adding to it.
