Ok, I normally would not even consider such a trade. But my running back corp is horrible. Terrible. Not even worth looking at. And I know Best is just a rookie. My team: QBS - Tony Romo, Chad Henne WRs - Wayne, Nicks, Gaffney, Knox, Britt, Hartline RBs - Chris Johnson, CJ spiller (I know), Michael Bush (i'm waiting), Donald Brown TE - Witten, Carlson K - Carpenter DEF - Cincy, Carolina (had to bench Cincy this week against NE, so picked up CAR, that moved saved my hiney this week) So as you see, I got 2 points from Spiller this week. I need an RB badly. I have a waiver request in, Hartline for Peyton Hillis. I think I'll stick with that if it goes through. But if it doesn't (I'm 2nd to last on waiver) do I make the trade? Or stick with wayne and nicks, and roll the dice on RBs?
12 teams. He was drafted. I checked as soon as I saw grant being helped off the field. Thanks for putting me in my place. But what do I do for RB. It's pathetic my RBs. Hope bush comes back and takes over, or hope CJ spiller gets it going? Damn it's going to be a long season.
His next best RBs (after Arian Foster) are Ahmad Bradshaw and Ryan Matthews. Seeing Mathews stink up the joint, Im assuming he'll move bradshaw off the bench, benching matthews. I guess no trade then. Thanks guys.
I need an RB that's what's up 1 point out of my 2nd rb position is no bueno. Romo underperformed (if he don't pick it up I have to get rid of him and witten)
Personally, I think Best is being underrated. He's going to get the bulk of the carries, and he can break a big run at any time. The Lions were second in the NFC last season in runs of 4+, but one of the worst in runs of 20+. So that OL can make some holes for him. Only thing that worries me is Stafford's injury. I'd try offering Wayne for Best and a WR2. But I do appear to be higher on Best than most, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
i have best on my team, so you think its not the time to hit panic mode yet ? with only 20 rushing yards on 11 carries and no stafford ?
Def wouldn't hit the panic button on anyone after one week. Def not someone in such a good role as Best. The Stafford injury hurts though.
Over a bunch of beers, was offered Tim Hightower and NYG Steve Smith for Hakeem nicks. Or steven jackson and Steve Smith for Wayne. Lol. Darn those are tempting.
stay away from steven jackson though, he already banged his knee after week 1 and had an MRI on it, apparently he is alright, but on MFL he is already listed as Q for Week 2
No. I've watched that entire game, and the Bears front-7 was very good. Urlacher played like he's capable of. That defensive front is going to be tough for anyone to run against. If Best struggles through week 3-4, then I'd get worried. But I'm not worried about his performance against Chicago.
You need to jump on the S Jax and S Smith for Wayne trade before your buddy sobers up. That is a great trade for you, imo.
Actually if I'm a Best owner I'm probably trying to sell high. I don't see him having another 40 point game any time soon.
He will have a few this year. If because of nothing else, Shaun Hill will checkdown to him with regularity. Guy is a beast with the ball in his hands.
best could be the roty. i still dont see why you would make that trade. then you would be hurting very badly at wr.
His little injury kind of bugged me, and Steve Smith of the Giants is not, IMO, a good #1. And that would leave me with #1 and #2 being Nicks, and Smith, both of the giants. What do I do during the bye week? And what do I do when Manning has a crappy day. Not good for diversification
