    Like you I'm completely fine on missing out on Fisher. The problem is, it was troublesome to see Ross not be able to land the guy he wanted. Hopefully option 2 turns out to be the better play.

    I don't see it as troublesome at all, in fact it gives me relief.

    Fisher wanted more than he was worth. Ross really wanted him, but wouldn't overpay (by giving him control he didn't deserve). That should instill you with confidence.
