Before the bronco game I said that if we played them to the wire it would not curb my enthusiasm for the outlook of the team and that I would be ok with the loss.
I also said that because I knew we were going to get the broncos best effort to be able to get a real read on our team..
Whether folks want to believe it or not football players determine how hi and low they perform based on circumstances, last week against the rams the sense of urgency was not there, at home against us, it was..So we can go all week and try to dissect the loss or we can just say that we got the best team in football talent wise, with a hall of fame qb at the helm, on a pissed off day at home..and admit that at this point and time with all those circumstances in play, they are a little better than us..so what?..who the hell cares right now, I could of told you that, how we move forward, the lessons that coyle learned, the growth of the offense, and how we finish this season is more important for our future...trying to build something here that is long term, if we win these games and finish 4 and 1, the bronco game will be looked at as a positive moving forward.
We got their best..it was an experience we needed to go thru in this progression of success..
I feel very good about beating the teams were supposed to beat and that includes the jets twice and the ravens and vikings at home..
lets watch this jet game and see how were going to attack.

I think we will learn about about this team next Monday night.

Offensively, if we play the Jets like we did the Broncos, we've got nothing to worry about... strangely I'm feeling more confident in this offense lately than the defense... -
Their not running mike vick on the read option to much, his escapability is always dangerous but he's simply not an accurate thrower of the football..so yes, you sell out to stop the run and you make him beat you with his arm..
James will be back, Finnegan should be back, Taylor is not injured badly, he will be back for the stretch which will allow jimmy wilson to see less snaps..and Charlie should be back next week.
I think we made it out of that game ok injury wise.. -
Three heart breakers in November, and yet, it was a great month of football. I'm siked for next week!

I'm actually rather pissed, the D was supposed to be our strength, consistent strength.
Instead, we were gashed.
Suspect we destroy the Jest, and that kicks off our playoff run!!! -
I hope we don't make the playoffs, this D is not even ready for regular season football.
Jets game will be fun, but won't tell us anything we don't already know, and neither will the rest of the season. -
31-3 bills...michael vick is out with an injury...geno smith is in, also wilkerson left the game with a toe injury

I look at every new regime in a three year window, if you can get me to the playoffs with a relatively young team then I will continue with your regime, if they get there then I don't see the logic in you being so upset, I understand you not thinking their ready to win in the playoffs, and I would tend to agree with you, but it depends on the matchup no?, and I know that we need more players at certain positions to be that team you trust. -

We had that in 2008. It's pointless. I was at that game, it was embarrassing, I left at halftime.
We should not be sticking our foot out before time is ripe, and this team is not ready, not with this defense.
I don't need playoffs to validate this HC or QB. I know where we are at, and I'm good with it. -
These last 5 games will be a great test. If we are as good as I hope we are, we will finish 10-6, and hopefully make play offs. The Jets are so bad, we should clean their clock next week. As a team, I am hoping we are beyond the flat, non-competitive days. We come out and play week in and week out, and our effort should destroy these Jets twice. We should beat the Vikings, and we should beat the Ravens in Miami, like we WOULD have beaten Detroit, and possibly Denver too.
New England is a scary game. They are playing great on both sides of the ball. Tough-tough game to win. Sweeping the Patriots...has that happened in the last 12 or so years? -
Im just mentioning this because of what dez thinks he's sure of.
I believe, and have the record to show that I might have a pretty good bead on this team.
1) before the packer game I said I just want to Play well in the game and I wont be dissapointed if we lose, for it will tell me a lot if we play well.
2) I really watched the team after that during the week and said we will win the next three, which included the Chargers.
3) then I said the lion game was important for us to play well in, that a loss doesn't bother me relative how my seasons goals are and gauging the teams progress.
4) I said we would beat the bills.
5) just wanted to take the Broncos to the wire.
6). We will go 4 and 1 our next 5.
:wink2: -
Split with Jets, beat Minny and lose to Ravens and Pats. 8-8.

-
Was the CJ Anderson performance a fluke or a sign of things to come?

We have swiss cheese defense. Ravens and Pats should dominate. Jets matchups are a toss up, I say we take at least one. Minny should be a gimme.
