Falcons actually. 1 year 8 million. Phins offer was between 3 to 4 mill for 1 year.

That's what Armando reported on his Twitter. Definitely take with a lump of salt.

I agree with the Dolphins on this one, Poe isn't worth 8.

Spend 8 on a guard then we can talk, third tackle in a rotation with resources like Suh and Phillips, no thanks..obviously we would of been a better team but at the expense of what is the question.

Yeah problem is we didn't spend it on a guard either. Now we are thin at guard, DT, DE, LB an Safety. We still need starters or top backups in all of those positions.

I'm afraid we're overestimating Philips here. He wouldn't start for me unless we see big improvement.

I think William Hayes and Branch can hold you over but yes we need starters.

I hear he's looking for a multi year deal worth upwards of over $10 mil/season...

The FA money is starting to dry up. He better rethink what he wants as it seems that people aren't viewing him as a 10mil/season guy. From a couple of sources:

Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports that Hankins is asking for more than $10 million per year. Poe and Bennie Logan, who signed with the Chiefs, both got $8 million on one-year deals. That length is also reportedly an issue for Hankins with Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reporting that Hankins is looking for a multi-year agreement.

If those are Hankins’ demands, he’s not finding any buyers and deals don’t often get bigger the further you move away from the start of free agency. Poe took visits with three other teams before signing in Atlanta, so there may be a landing spot for Hankins but it does appear he’ll need to recalibrate what he’s asking for to get something moving.

I just read that Poe has a $500,000 clause in his contract that requires him to get to and stay at or below 330 or he loses that money.

I wonder if our FO saw a guy who has had multiple back surgeries (at an extremely young age) with a weight problem and that caused them to not go any higher on their offer?

Dolphins had no money so they was POE.

Got overpaid but man the dolphins sure are looking for bargin bin players. They are under some delusion everyone wants to play for Gase and willing to sacrifice money for it.

Or... Maybe they just don't have the money to spend cap wise to be comfortable with overpaying... also, not a delusion, many have stated they want to play for a coach like him as it is...

Players have already talked about how Gase is top notch and how much they respect him.

We can get 3 or 4 of those in the draft.

Realistically we can't, we'll be lucky if we get two. Thats if we dont draft any busts in the first two rounds. We have no third round pick, our compensatory pick in the third comes after everybody else has picked so its essentially a 4th round pick. So we can really only expect to get starting caliber players with picks 1 and 2.

This is a deep draft though, and I agree with 25, if they draft right they can.
