I know that Chatman is being tough he and wants to play but I do not think it is worth getting him hurt.
And as a coaching staff you should learn from mistakes.

I agree. What's his status anyway? Is he still day to day?
-
Thye said he is "practicing" and I'm sure he wants to play.

I really have no problem with him playing if he is deemed healthy enough.
-
Personally I think we should give Booker a chance. Its not like he can make us worse.
-
I agree but apparently he cant block but going by Chatmans efforts neither can he! All that leaves is Cam doesnt think Booker can take it inside. Makes you wonder why we drafted him really. Personally i'd just like him to get the freekin rock to see what we can do. Im sure with our record CAm being the Offensive Guru he is can accomodate Booker to see what weve got with him. -
We have no reason to believe that Chatmans injuries are anywhere near career threatening problems or that there is any prognosis by the medical staff that playing him will this week will put him in any more danger than these guys face on a normal basis.

Plus, I want to beat the Jets, Chapman (If cleared) gives us the best chance. -
Here's a thought... Maybe he is a secret weapon that they are fine tuning and want to wait to exploite next year!:d-day: -
We should play Chatman but in a limited role. Enough of the "run, run, pass, punt" offense. Cam is supposed to be an offensive guru, it's time he showed me something, do something unexpected.
I think we should come out attacking, playing a lot of 3 receiver sets and have Booker in the backfield, getting him the ball in space. Use quick throws, attack the middle of the field and use more screens. We've run the screen pretty effectively all year but it had gone away since Ronnie got hurt. If Booker can't even be used on screens then he is useless to us in my opinion. -
Cuz id hate yo lose to the jets, because of a lousy mishandled snap. -
One reason L.Booker has not played is supposed to be that he has problems pass blocking. And so does Chatman. That is another thing that Ronnie Brown has over smaller RB's. He blocks well.
Even though it has been raining lately I hope this game day is sunny and dry with no wind and a firm field. This is where both Ginn and L Booker could take off.
I'm not sure a 75% Chatman is that much better then a 100% Cobbs. And Chatman played hurt and got hurt worse. It's not like we have to have this game. But the way the game is played, no one gives up his starting spot.
So Chatman will come in and limp a few downs then Cobbs will come in and we might even see L Booker.
I figure if L Booker was just lighting it up in practice, he would be playing.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 1, 2007
