Just downloaded it - gonna take a while to get used to. If you thought you were bombarded with ads before - lol - wait till you see it now. Think I saw an ad for Rogaine and Cialis on there!! :sidelol:
But it it Micro$oft after all. -
I'm officially banned. Tried to login today for the 1st time since the bannings started. I'll fix it this week
-
and FYI guys... YOU CAN USE THE OLD DB!!! I don't know how as I can't get NXE right now. But they announced that you'll be able to go back.
-
A lot of what I saw was about TV shows and extra media content I don't care about. I log into XBL to play games and nothing else.
I'm not sure what audience M$ is targetting or where they are going with this. -

hahaha my xbox isnt online! no update for me! winner!
-
whats the reasoning for installing a game to your hard drive?
-
-
I was starting to feel a little hurt at the lack of response. -
but couldn't you rent a game then toss it on your hard drive?
-
You still have to have the game in the drive to play. It's installed so the load times are faster.

it looks mighty streamlined and cool from the vids i saw. I haven't used it yet. It's supposed to be much faster (especially when loading games on the HD) than the blades.

Gizmodo
Apparently, there's no way around it. Even if you're not connected to the internet, I've read you will be forced to update to NXE before you can play certain high profile games in the future. -
unless they retracted their statement, they announced months ago that they'll allow you to use the old dash.
-
Well, that Gizmodo article was from October 29th and it's a "review" article of the final build of NXE. I guess if people make enough of a stink about it, Microsoft might include an option in the future to make NXE optional. But as of right now from everything I've read, it's mandatory.
One thing I find amusing was that Sony's Home was announced before Microsoft's NXE and yet here we are, NXE launches today and Home is still being worked on. Good job Sony. -
I'm going to play around with this more when I get home. The interface does look kinda cool and it is a complete new look - just going to take some getting used to.
There are some cool features that I did like - for example the way it lists the games you've played plus all of your achievements the same way iTunes does coverflow. The avatar thing is kinda neat - but again just a novelty thing rather than an actual feature, imo. -
-
That being said, I look forward to messing around with NXE when I purchase my 4th Xbox 360 later this month. -
i like it. it runs a lot faster and 8 person chat is great. guide button is way better now too

question: whats the deal with this downloading the game talk? I popped in madden for a little while today and it didn't say anything about DLing the game to my HD. Is this just an option thats available or what? -
you have to click on the game tile and the option comes up there to write it to ur hd

Just installed it. I actually like it alot
-
I have no problem with it. I dont really see the point in it however.
-
More than anything, i think it's to give the 360 that "new" feel again
-
I'm liking it too so far. -
I love the new dashboard.
-
It took me forever to make my avatar but I think it.
The one problem I do have is the friends list.......
Is there anyway to get a simple list back or do I have to scroll through the avatar things? -
When did you move to Coral Springs? I work that way.
