According to a league source, the Miami Dolphins have waived rookie linebacker Micah Johnson.

Johnson was active for Sunday's season-opener against the Buffalo Bills, and was credited with an assisted tackle on special teams.

The Dolphins released signed linebacker Erik Walden on Tuesday, but do have an open spot on their practice squad after releasing guard Andrew Hartline and tight end Nathan Overbay.

Makes sense for MJ to land on the PS.

As I understand it, practice squad guys are essentially free agents, as they don't have to pass thru waivers to join another team's 53 and already cleared them prior to getting on the PS. So they are not 'waived', just released.

Johnson. Dolphins clearly have a high opinion of Wallace's upside.

Well now, if Channing was IR'd, we all will know soon enough.

I am pleased if that is true , that Miami has high hopes for Wallace, I do want Micah on the PS , I am very intrigued with his potential development , and would love to have him practise for a year and come back next season quicker , stronger and more confident.

How things are going , he may not be on the PS for long though , talk about managing ...this is Irish's team now , if it wasn't before.
