Weeden Named the Starter in Cleveland

Much as I like him, this is kinda off topic...unless you want to re-position the post topic as "Three out of four 1st round QBs now declared starters"...

 

Maybe he was brought in to mentor Colt. He is like 8 years older than him lol

 

It was pretty obvious he was going to start, IMO.

 

They would be crazy NOT to name Weeden the starter. He's going to win some games for them.

 

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Cleveland offense functions this year. THey willl be an exciting team no doubt.

 

You mean he beat out Seneca Wallace AND Colt McCoy?!

Which'll make it even funnier if Heckert and Holmgren get the axe now that the team's been sold.

To an extent. I just find it very hard to take anything serious when it comes to what CLE of all FOs is saying about him in the media.

I won't believe anything til I see what he does live.

 

If Colt wants to pout I suppose he should've played better. But yea we all knew he was gonna start.

 

Holmgren probably deserves the axe. Heckert probably doesn't.

 

He looked pretty good last night. This guy is gonna be a good NFL QB.

 

As long as he has a clean pocket, he will be OK. I'm not incredibly high on him, but I could end up being wrong.

 

Hopefully he plays up to expectations.

 

He looks light in his uni, and when you take a closer look, imo, he's underdeveloped for his age, so lack of strength will show up when the pocket gets constricted, gotta watch out for ball security when you don't have your probody yet..he's gonna need to put sme size on next year.
