It doesn't support anything you said. Also, you've got to factor in that the Ravens in that situation are playing super relaxed and comfortable because everything is already locked up. There many factors that go into a game so it's really unfair to point to one have and how one team fared as proof of anything, imo.
Remember the context here is the claim "it's all injuries/backups" or "it's primarily injuries/backups" whether you believe that or not. So IF you make that claim — I agree with you it's not true (my entire argument!) — then yes it does support my claim. I said from the outset we had to make an exception for QBs so points scored by the Ravens can't be used to attack my claim. And their defense gave up 17. So yes, IF you claim it's all backups then what I said is supported. And of course if you don't claim that, then you're agreeing with me. Obviously, the main reason that 5% statistic holds is because there are so many other factors.
Not saying it’s an exception. The starters out. They lose. There is a drop in talent from 1st string to 2nd string. And even further from 1st string to 3rd string. If you’re arguing anything different then there’s nothing else to say.
Never argued differently. I took exception to you saying the eye ball test is more telling in that game than stats. Stats clearly support the idea that 1st string > 2nd string > 3rd string.
