Week 17 Dolphins at Jets Official Game Thread

Lindell tried a field goal and th ball went about 90 degrees to the right. It was hilarious. The goal posts are leaning about 45 degrees in opposite directions and no passes are being attempted into the wind. Kind of a surreal game, but one I enjoy watching.

True but it will always be the Lions who will be 0-16 and people will start to forget about the Bucs.

 

I've been trying to watch online but can't find a stream anywhere and I want to watch because of the reasons you listed.

Also was the FG wide right?

Just seen on NFL.com they had to stop the game to realign the goal posts after Gostowski missed a kick.

 

this and the pats/bills game are historical for sure

 

Now Gostkowski tries a 26 yard field goal and the ball goes toward the sidelines. He missed it BADLY. This wind is nuts.

 

Wide, Wide, Wide Right....and its started wide Left....had to be a 40yd bender....like a SLICE in Golf!!!!!!

 

The field goal was wide right.

Also, they stopped the game to fix the goal posts BEFORE his kick. Had they left it the way it was, he might have made it.

 

Oh okay makes more sense.

Okay very strange way to end the Half at Bills-Pats game. Something fishy up with that.

 

I am in Aspen, Colorado for christmas this year. Stayin warm with a fire, and watching on the couch as well. Went with the budlight today. The drinkability factor...ya know ha.

 

NO kidding. Its almost like the pats started fighting to keep the clock ticking. And I guess Buffalo didnt have a TO. The Bills need to keep giving the rock to FJackson. Guy is a beast.

True but I guess Buffalo should have been smart enough to get back to the line but not so sure they could if they were engaged. Stupid play by the Bills I guess.

 

See, I don't see what was so fishy. They had no timeouts, they ran a run play. Jackson got tackled, the clock still runs. Simple as that.

Buffalo was dumb for running a rushing play at that point.

 

Wow. Big Ben is being carted off the field for the Steelers. Yikes.

 

They still would have had time to spike the ball and stop the clock though. Over 16 seconds left after the play ended. A running play should have made it even easier to do this.

 

Whats funny Sam is that if the Fins win today and in the playoffs - we'll go to Pittsburgh after that.

 

You never wish for injury, but that would definitely help the dolphins. With that said though, Leftwich can easily step in and be very adequate. Their team is solid in all phases. We would still have our hands full.

 

I just can't wait for the game to start.
Quick story....
My Jet fan relatives are going to the game today.They called me at home yesterday because they wanted my cell phone number.My bro-in-law(who is a good guy)wanted it so he can call me every time the Jets score a touchdown.I was'nt sure how to respond to that comment. I asked him.
So if the phone don't ring,I know it's you calling?
Well,at that time he was quiet and the only thing he could say was.Good luck tomorrow,I hafta' go........Just priceless

The hit wasn't bad on Ben, but it didn't end well. He was down for 15 minutes before being carted off. He gave a half hearted thumbs up, but he is obviously done for today and might be for the postseason.

 

Except Leftwitch can't move. Static rush point for a defense. More pressure on a already somewhat suspect offensive line. Just sayin,.........if Ben don't go the Steeler's are not the same team. The defense can still beat your brains in, but the offense is nowhere near the same.

 

Leftwich just scrambled for an 8 yard TD when the pocket collapsed.

It looked janky as hell, but he got it done.

 

So are we feelin it today peoples?

Rollercoaster for me. I was not confident at the start of the week, but grew more and more so as the week went on. But now, as gameday draws near, the butterflies are starting to flutter...
