his problem is when they switch coverages on him one second before the snap. he does a pretty good job of presnap reads but where he finds trouble is when they switch at the last second. he doesnt know where to go sometimes. at least imo. tough to know for sure off the tv feed. tonight he pressed. he played like a rookie. i think tonights game justified hennings playcalling the first two games. unfortunately we had to pass this game and this is the result. we pass well when there is a threat of a run, when there isnt we simply dont do as well
The exact same scenario last season behind vs. new england and he excels. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
I dont think NE is elite, i think that their QB and Coach are elite, therfore, they had a better plan than your coaching staff, and the players executed what they had to.
This is 62-7 bad for the Dolphins. This is likely the point where this season is done, and with it a new coaching staff and another 3 years of rebuilding begins.
the Patriots were ready for the playaction passes tonight, the two early ints were both off of play action, yes? I guess if you believe in bad omens we all should of known what was going to happen after that stupid wild cat formation showed up on 3rd and 6.....
not facing the same defense. guarantee if you compare the two coverages belichik switched up alot from last year. would make a good com parison to see what new engalnds defense did differently coverage wise but it got to henne tonight
They have a decent corps of young players. I don't think it would be like last time. I wonder if Bill Cowher would ever be interested in coaching again? I know that's kneejerk. Sparano deserves a chance to recover from this. We'll see what he's got the rest of this season. My expectations have lowered dramatically.
i dont blame henne. NE made an adjustment and we did not. when that happens our coaching staff has to be on top of it (which they wont be) or henne needs to recognize it himself and start taking charge. we are at the point where the training wheels have to be taken off, imo.
you have to try it. dont know why people are against trying it. its like the failed screen early in the game. dont know the poster but someone stated that we shouldnt call any screens anymore because they dont work. guess what one of our tds was? you gotta try. if it fails you dont use it that much. if it works you use it until they stop it
1) Ricky ran strong. Looked much better than weeks #1-3. 2) We played well enough to have the lead up til halftime. 3) Sorry...that's all I got.
They're playing well. Their fat jackass coach is getting it done. They are not collapsing and quitting like the fins.
Nope, sorry adamp, Henne should sit on the bench. A Qb CANNOT make the same mistakes over and over and over.
Henne should be past the point of 'protecting', I agree. If you still feel the need to protect him then it's time to start looking for a new Qb, again.
Please..... There's no way a group of people with such a storied history of being classless, rude, obnoxious blowhards as yourselves can be ignorant of having professional levels of asshattedness. Play coy all you want. It's pretty amusing actually
yeah, we're ina slump and they're riding high. they deserve to have their moment in the sun. i think its a long season and we'll get the last laugh but as ricky ricardo said "we have some splaining to do"
The problem being that game was year 1 for Parcells and company. This is year 3 and they've had an opportunity to build a roster with their guys. We shouldn't be seeing losses like this at this point of the rebuilding process. We're a very long way from being able to compete for a championship. It's just not acceptable.
Thats 110% it IMO. To add to that, when you have a QB that you've babied up until this point, and now you're slowly going to uncuff him a bit, you have to expect bonheaded INT's, I mean, its his 17th start. Its going to happen. You can't learn in anything IMO without making mistakes. Its part of growth and development.
We do have a lot of young talent, but there's also going to be some holes coming up soon. Ronnie and Ricky are going to be gone, still need a TE, Bell is going to be gone sooner than later. I just don't know if we can turn it around that quick.
This is the only bad game he played this season, and you want to stick him on the bench? That's a bit kneejerk. ST is a joke. we abandoned the run early the defense couldn't get stops when it mattered but yeah, let's single out the QB in this instance...
I dont want to hear we are a few players away. That was Wannestadt crap. We are far from that. Maybe need some new coaches as well.
Things could be alright, but the wheels could also come off. This has to be a traumatic loss to the team.
honestly i think there is a 10% chance that penny could start against the pack but it would be a mistake imo. take your lumps with henne while he learns. there is a reason every qb goes through a sophmore slump. coaches have a year's worth of film on him the 2nd year and they change everything up. its like being a rookie all over again since you're seeing things you never saw your rookie year. baltimore didnt bench flacco last year and atlanta didnt bench ryan last year when they went through the same thing. both are better off for it this year
