Just one funny and possibly relevant thing here. Alf Arteaga (of 5 Reasons/3YPC/OnlyPhins) pointed out multiple times that we had Ulbrich's number when he was with the Jets. Could just be a schematic thing where McDaniel's scheme is the ideal counter for what he is trying to do. The real question is whether we can string together multiple wins, or whether Baltimore will come in here on TNF on a short week and hand us our lunch.

I don't necessarily hate the idea of McDaniel/Tua playing out the year, my biggest concern is that we win just enough to ensure Grier gets another shot. It's evident he will be in charge at least for the trade deadline and likely through the year. Which, whatever, we likely weren't doing anything drastic like trading Waddle anyway (despite the rumors). But God I cannot stomach him getting another draft to poison us or signing a bunch of bum free agents to dumb contracts.

 

2023 vibes today. Tua carved up the #1 pass defense. I wish this defense played to even 1/10th of the effort they gave today the past six games.

 

Well, I bloody well enjoyed that, I have to say. Looked like the defence had been practising tackling this week. It may be papering over the cracks but still nice to see the team firing on all cylinders, both sides of the ball.

 

That makes me a little sad, although I understand.

 

I agree with everything you wrote! I might add, that the Dome was helpful today as well! We sadly don’t fare good in the elements…

Not trying to throw a shade at you, but we all can do better, it’s not like there are many left and I used to like this place.

 

I absolutely need to do better on here. Winning feels good. I'm getting older, but I still believe in miracles. Maybe we've finally removed head from spinchter and are going to start balling.
