I don't see it as negative. Culver was always fairly mediocre at safety. To me, it's more frustrating that we could never get an upgrade over the guy, so he kept sticking around, and now he's back. we could do worse at backup safety, but him coming back shows we have zero depth.

 

I guess? Jimmy Wilson is technically a back-up safety and has in practice played safety recently, but with Nolan Carroll sliding down the depth chart they don't seem to want to do that anymore.

I don't know? I don't really care honestly it doesn't change that you can easily and objectively assess that Culver is a decent backup/sub safety.

 

Him and Reggie Howard are a package deal.

Carroll was the starter for most of since Marshall went down, but recently RJ Stanford and he have been rotating while Jimmy Wilson has been the Nickel.
