Keep your ramblings about free agency or other crap in this thread. Any players you sign, you can make your "press releases" or whatever here... Please remember that a player must go 24 hours without his current bid being raised before he officially signs with a team.
I'm opening this since we're ... you know ... bidding on cut player FAs. Mostly because I want to make fun of Griddles.
If we win a player through bidding, but might have to cut him at a later date.. can we do that? Or once he's on your team, he's on your team.
Alright. And another question. Once the draft is over, how soon after that do we vote from all the awards?
He's not the same player as his days in Miami would indicate. He's been a revelation at G. We were trying to play him at LT.
Oh, I knew he was a good player, I was just trying to cut cap. I'm not sure he's worth what he is going to go for here, but he's a very solid guard.
Pro Bowl Guard. Only a couple guards in entire FA rated higher but those guys will cost a lot more then Smith also. Truth be told though....I was pretty much out once he hit $5 million. Just thought I'd jack up the price for a division rival who I figured with his cap space would go 7 to 7.5 million ;p It took a lot of years for teams to figure out he needed time to grow...was a guard not a tackle..........and he was more suited for zone blocking.
Makes me think I should be getting the highest comp pick possible when Andy Levitre goes. If Wade Smith can go for $7 million (and I doubt this is over...I could see another team with large space bumping it more)........then Levitre is going to be the leagues top guard cap hit over Snee ($11 million) and Mankins ($10 million). I've got a backup plan...and worse come to shove..take that comp pick and pick a guard lol Really outside of my 4 guys..there's no absolute must have. So I'll probably spend that 5th spot just jacking up player costs where I see an undervalue (ie: Tyson Jackson now who shouldn't go for a dime under $6 million).
Tough to say... if only one high end wide receiver makes it to free agency out of Bowe, Wallace, and Jennings then I can only assume that the one that hits the open market will be the player with the highest contract for free agency.
I'd be shocked if any of those 3 actually made it. At the very worse you franchise and trade. Otherwise wtf?
Glad Sean stopped bidding. That was my absolute highest bid. I wonder if those who are bidding on Gaither realize he will play 2 games and fake an injury the rest of the year. His own teammates openly state on record they don't want him back.
Cards Welcome back Levi Brown, Daryn Colledge, and Stewart Bradley. And so it begins with Schisno, LOL
we should make FA bids 6 hours next year just so people can ***** when someone bids on them in hour 5.
