Exactly, all of Collins’ bad qualities can’t possibly transfer.
Famous last words.
He didn't at BYU. He knows now.
Well, that does tend to happen when you have to reside in Arizona.
After the Cards’ season, yes.
The Broncos welcome back Andre Goodman and Britton Colquitt at reduced payrates. The Broncos are happy to have their 25 year old punter, who surprised the team with his 44.6 yard average in 2010, back on the squad. The Broncos are also glad to see Goodman return to the team, who looks to bounce back from an injury riddled 2010 season where he only played in 8 games...
The New York Giants would like to welcome the following players:
Mario Henderson 700k T - Started for the Raiders last years and improved over the year before considerably. Gave up 1 sack, 2 hits and 10 pressures in 463 snaps, quite respectable.
Matt Dodge 300k P - Back at a reduced rate. Punted well later in the year after initial jitters.
Alex Smith 300k TE - Decent hands, better blocker at this point
Mark Anderson 300k DE - 4 sacks 3 hits 10 pressures in only 334 snaps...Another pass rusher never hurts
Pisa Tinoisamoa $300k LB - One of the best vs the run from his position. Ranked 17 out of 41 4-3 OLB's by our scouting service PFF.
The Tennessee Titans are pleased to welcome Peyton "dont call me eli" Manning. Again.
Falcons would like to welcome a few role players
OG Nate Garner 300k - Nate is a promising young guard who will backup both guard positions
OG/C Chris Spencer 1m - A solid veteran who can start at both guard and center
FB Leonard Weaver 350k - Atlethic FB who had a great 2009 before suffering a season ending injury in 2010, perfect for the our explosive offense we are turning to in ATL
DE Derrick Harvey 500k - Former #9 overall pick looking for a change of scenary and will backup one of the best DE in the league
DE Antwan Applewhite 300k - Former 34 LB for SD, has the quickness were looking for to eventually develop into a quality speed rusher off the edge
MLB Omar Gaither 300k - Has been injured the past few seasons but when hes healthy hes a solid starting MLB
OLB Zac Diles 300k - Another young LB with good speed to add to our promising corps
DB Sheldon Brown 400k - Good veteran who can still play but will be asked to be more of a mentor
49ers sign Safety Jarrad Page. Page will replace recently departed Michael Huff. Page, who is known for flying under the radar for unspecified reasons, was signed to a one year contract for a sum of $300,000.00.
The Skins would like to welcome Rocky McIntosh back into the fold for a modest 3.5M
Pats would like to welcome Tiki Barber back into the NFL. We signed him for $351k. He's going to have to work to make the team, but he's always been a consumate professional and will bring a veteran presence to our running back stable. After practice, he and Brett Favre can sit around the fire and talk about when they used to play the game in leather helmets.
High and tight Tiki...High and tight...
The Eagles would like to welcome TE Fred Davis. Davis, a promising young tight end has still put up decent numbers despite being behind Chris Cooley of the Redskins. We expect those numbers to drastically improve as he instantly becomes our starting TE. His playmaking ability from the TE position will fit in perfectly with an offense that includes michael vick, chris johnson, andre johnson, roddy white, devone bess and a star studded offensive line.
The Titans would like to welcome OT Jake Long......to the Tennessee area where he rumored to be vacationing.
The Titans are skirting by those tampering rules again, I see.
There are no tampering rules.
Vacationing in Tennessee. Didnt know he was an Elvis fan.
The Giants would like to welcome their new backup QB, Byron Leftwich for 300k. We feel his strong arm and patience in the pocket will work just fine with a good offensive line and top flight weapons around him.
Miami welcomes C Chris Meyers who has given up 4 sacks in 3 years!!! Also welcomes Andre Gurode who will be moved to RG completing thee meanest OL in the league.

has myers been a center his entire time in houston?
well now that free agency is just about over the Texans would like to welcome the following
QB Vince Young 700k
WR Legedu Naanee 800K
WR Chaz Schillens 400k
TE Brad Cottam 300k
OT Ryan Harris 1.1 mil
OT King Dunlap 300k
OG Max Jean Giles 1.6 mil
ILB Stephen Cooper 300k
OLB/ILB Stewart Bradley 1.8 mil
OLB Sergio Kindle 1 mil
SS Haruki Nakamura 300k
FS Eugene Wilson 300k
K Sebastian Janikowski 400k
We feel we have picked up a nice blend of depth at good value and a few quality starters in Cooper, Giles, Janikowski, Harris and Bradley. We also feel we have some potential breakout players in Kindle, Nakumura and Schillens
SS, Aaron Francisco ($300,000)
ILB, Corey Mays ($300,000)
Francisco- Although, we currently have one of the top secondaries in the league (imo), it never hurts to add veteran talent as depth. Especially, if they are cheap. Francisco started 12 games last season for the Colts and had some solid games. He will be backing up Charles Godfrey at the SS position.
Mays- Just some more veteran depth. Mays started 13 games for the Chiefs in 2009, where he had 85 combined tackles. Not bad. He still has some weaknesses, but I like the addition as he can compete with Jamar Chaney for the 3rd ILB spot, behind the studs. Solid value for $300k.
Titans welcome OT Jammal Brown, who will protect Peyton Manning in route to the Super Bowl.
The same one who was dreadful for the Skins this year?
I didn't want brown at 10m but did it anyways. Not going to play your little last minute bidding game for a mediocre Lt for that much
how many sacks did he allow? thats what i thought.
5.5, or, more than Sean Locklear has in the last 2 years combined (though I'll be fair, he played RT in 2010.)
And more than horrendous LT for the Bills Demetrius Bell, who allowed 5.25, in more games to boot.
Not to mention the pressures he allowed and the lack of push in the run game.
tl;dr There’s a reason the Saints traded Brown.
This is a thread to welcome YOUR players, not hate on OTHER peoples additions
You tell 'em hall monitor!
because they won the super bowl without him?
He only gave up 1 sack through week 7 in 2010, playing a new position. He will be my left tackle, where he belongs. He is 2 years removed from that strange injury, and still young enough to play at a high level.
And while Fin-O is right, ah, let em hate.
oh, i didnt realize you had inside information. please share.
Machiavelli pretty much nailed it. His replacement played much better. Sort of like Bowen outperforming Spears in Dallas.
Hey, it’s your team. Build it how you want. But I hope you looked at more than just sacks surrendered when paying $10m for him.
Honestly he was pretty much free. I used the money I saved from cutting Manning to get him. I didn't have a lot of options, but this is not one I'm upset with by any means.
I think both points are valid. He's not worth 10MM+, but at the same time, what the heck else are you going to blow all that cash on? I'd look to target a guy to groom on the left side though, especially with all that is invested in Peyton.
