Nate Garner was signed off of the practice squad. http://miamidolphins.com/newsite/news/top_story.asp?contentID=6629
Friend MrClean: it means I think it is a good move to create depth on the offensive line the Orca run in pods
not so fast my friend... I expect Garner to be back on the PS next week once we sign... Mr. Justin Miller.
Thanks to this thread, I've learned more about whales today than I ever thought I would when I woke up.
I don't know, I see very little difference for us as a team if he is on the practice squad, or if he is not dressing on gameday (which I assume he won't since he is literally the last guy on the roster). I suppose for Mr. Garner, it is a good thing monitarily, but for the Dolphins, the depth was there regardless. If they needed an extra linemen for whatever reason down the road, they simply would have signed him from the practice squad then, assuming, of course, that no other team grabbed him. I would have preferred a kick returner, but I am happy for the young guy as well.
We may see Nalbone and Garner cut in favor of two veterans after week one. Don't want to guarantee that money.
LMAO thanks, I needed that. I am glad to see us carrying 9 OL, I was disappointed when they originally indicated carrying only 8. We need a solid backup group. Garner is solid, glad we protected him this way. Based on what I saw of him in preseason.
