lol...look who's back from the dead? dark lady. well...heres a case against playing your starters when you got things locked up for the post-season. whats the severity? if its an acl, that could run into next season. although, if they dont get the cba done, next season and the future of the sport is gonna blow anyway.
I actually thought I was banned from here after I got into it with a mod. I wonder is the moron Goodell will continue with the "incentives for starting your stars in meaningless games" garbage I've been hearing all morning.
You kidding me? This is Billicheat we are talking about. I dont think the CIA could get a real answer in regards to the severity. It looked pretty nasty though, he planted and cut, and his knee went sideways to where the inside was pretty much touching turf....not good IMO. The commentators went on and on about how tough he is cause he was crying on the sideline....
I hope so. It has had such a big impact on the playoff picture so far it can't be ignored. When teams like the Jets are getting playoff berths gift wrapped and hand delivered it calls into question the integrity of the game. Not to mention fans getting ripped off by paying hundreds to go see their team not care about winning. Of course you're against it, the Jets would have been eliminated last week if they weren't playing Indy's practice squad.
No need crying over spilled milk now. It is your OPINION that the JETS wouldve lost, we will never know now. You're acting like Indy was blowing us off the turf with their starters in. I think teams should do what they want when they've earned the right to.
You'd think Jet fans would wait until they actually secured a playoff spot to gloat. Its like they haven't learned a lesson from their franchise's pathetic history. That said, if they do win tonight, there's no chance they're beating NE in Foxborough -- with or without Welker -- none.
Who the hell is gloating. If the JETS make the playoffs there is always a chance. Any given Sunday ( or Saturday)
Back to Welker: if it is an ACL tear, he's out for next season and won't be 100% till 2013. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Posted via Mobile Device
Well, maybe it will give him a chance to shave that stooopid looking face. I get very tired seeing coffee grounds hiding his smug smile
As the forum description notates, "No Smack". Posts deleted. Stay on topic. It's not hard. I will begin deleting entire posts rather than editing if people don't learn.
Have you seen any reports yet Alen? I agree with you, 9 months is pretty much the re-coup time for ACL, however, Welker have a bum knee would be like Nan Ryan having a bad right shoulder, that is going to really change his game, and not for the better.
I'm not crying. But Pittsburgh fans probably are. I think it's laughable to suggest the Jets would have beaten the Indy starting lineup. They were swept by the 7-9 Dolphins, and lost to several other teams that while decent aren't quite playoff caliber. [Atlanta, anyone] Sorry, and nobody outside of the Jets fanbase would disagree with me. I've stated this in other threads but the teams haven't earned the right to do anything. They have the right to put the product on the field their fans pay for. That's what they have the right to do. The commissioner has the right to take measures to ensure that happens, which I hope he does. Back on topic, the Pats may be a bigger fraud in the playoffs than the Jets and this Welker injury has doomed them before they even get started. They got nothing now and I am certain the Jets will actually beat them if they match up in the first round.
That's what turned Culpepper into a gimpy QB right? I don't think if you're Wes Welker you can afford to lose a whole lot of speed and quickness. That's pretty bad news for him.
He's going to be losing a lot of that lateral mobility that makes him so dangerous off the line. But yes, it's a similar injury to Culpepper's. It's way too early to say, but he could start 2010 on the PUP list.
I don't cheer for injuries, but at the same time I don't have an OUNCE of sympathy for this guy. You still wish you were on the Patriots sideline while playing for us, Wes? Well enjoy it, because now you'll be on that sideline for a VERY long time. We gave this clown an opportunity in the NFL and then he spit in our face, screw him.
If not for some miracle New York Giant heroics those Boston douchebags would have been 19-0 and he would have been MVP, joining our Dolphins in perfect ville, and a season after which he admitted to wishing he played for the Pats WHILE he played for us. How do you know hes one of the hardest working anyway? Are you saying this backstabber works harder than most of the other players in the league? I smell a whole load of Boston BS.
Welker don't work any harder than any other player in the NFL. Why are the white guys hard-working, while the black guys are athletically gifted? Tell me how Welker's work ethic is better than Davone Bess' work ethic? Welker was born with the ability to run really fast. He's not some dude off the street who worked really hard to get where he's at. I'm sure he worked hard, but so do all players. Posted via Mobile Device
Without Welker the Pats playoff run is looking alot different. Pats will be much easier to take out IMO.
I'm pretty sure they'll be just fine with Edelman. That punk Welker is one of the most overrated players in the game. It's all Brady and Moss. Bess would play Welker's role 2x better than Welker. Dude is a joke
You bring up a stellar argument Lt Dan, and no offense but comments like yours without really explaining what you mean make you look really bad. Just trying to help you out.
