Considering you dont have to be a rocket scientist to know that each visit is announced to coaches that way this doesnt happen, i dont think he did. that is a big issue with recruiting. they do things to make sure this doesnt happen.

i dont think he should of said anything to the media, but dont try and make excuses for Urban Cryer

The thing that makes this whole thing funny is that one of Kiffin's first accomplishments at UT was committing recruiting violations by contacting recruits before he had been officially named the coach.:sidelol:

As I SIAP, the SEC is going to get very nasty with all the big money coaches and millions of dollars poured into these programs plus the pressure to win.

How smart is that really? Your team is rebuilding... Yet you are taking shots at the two teams that were in the SEC champ game! I am all about confidence, but he may want to prove something on the field before he starts taking these shots. It would be one thing if he did it after beating those schools, but I have a feeling Meyer is going to have fun in that game this year...

Kiffin is an idiot. I give him credit in one respect, he's made Tennesse relevant for the first time in 8 years.

 

Kiffin did a pretty good job of recruiting this year but his public persona is taking a beating and that will reflect negatively in the Tenn program in the near future .

He not only unjustly make accusations at Meyer and Saban but he also dissed the coaching staff of a high school where a couple of his recruits came from .

I feel some sympathy ..not much...for Al Davis .Kiffin is a loose cannon and his star will fizzle out very soon in the SEC.

I think his alienating some HS coaches is what is going to hurt him. IF that coach ends up with some studs next year, he probably won't let Kiffin or his staff anywhere near the school.

Again, the guy has guts, but he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Did anyone see where Marlon Brown was all set to go to Tennessee until Ed "The Ogre" Orgeron had an in home visit with he and his grandmother. Apparently, something was said by Orgeron that turned off both Marlon and his grandmother. Marlon then decided to sign with Georgia.

Either Orgeron was his typical self and had a profanity laced talk with Marlon, or Marlon simply didn't understand a word Orgeron said. I know I could never understand the bafoon. He sounds like Farmer Fran off The Waterboy.

They are obvious and also very very minor infractions...I admire UT for self reporting minor violations...UF should have reported Meyer last year for giving the phone to Tebow to call Moore during a dead period...on national TV.....both are about as minor as they can be....difference is UF backed obvious infractions and UT reported theirs...now I really do not want to argue about my being anti Meyer...I AM!!!....but these are just minor pissing contests and neither are worthy of beating chests about IMHO....and lets face it UT self reported them because the National Communist Athletic Association has Ed Orgeron on double secret probation since he seems to get someone in trouble everywhere he goes.....Kiffin may be a bit unknowledgable of specifics...a tool he ain't.......he is a sharp guy that will recruit well

Needless to say - the SEC is going to be a lot of fun to watch for years with all of these big money coaches.

 

He has a staff of some top recruiters also. Those people are known for recruiting and not coaching however, so we'll see how that works.
