Couldn't watch the game, but saw he was in there giving Marshall an earful. So how did he play? CK? Bueller?...

He got to play, just not a lot, did not do a whole lot.

Marshall shoves Finnegan
McCain pushes MArshall from behind
Marshall turns ready to fight
Marshall sees McCain
Marshall "nopes" the **** out of there in 1 second flat
McCain shakes his head like "you better run"
Thats all you need to know about McCains day. It was gorgeous.Pandarilla, PerfectTeam, mbsinmisc and 4 others like this. -
If my dreams come true he will be seeing a lot of snaps next year in the Dolphins base 3-4/hybrid defense.
Both he and Fede would flourish in that defense IMO. Fede at 5-tech of course and McCain at 7-tech.
I think we have some guys who could do some nice things playing a 6-technique as well.
A defense kinda like the one Kirby Smart runs for Saban in Alabama. -
He's seemingly at this point a Nickel LB who has a pretty narrow role in obvious passing situations. He appears to either be in man coverage, as a spy, or on a delay blitz. I noticed him on Sunday covering Matt Forte out of the backfield and doing a good job doing that. He also had a really nice delayed blitz vs. the Packers that showed off his acceleration, the guy went from spying to hitting Rodgers as he threw astoundingly fast.
If we can get either Dion Jordan or Chris McCain to play as plausible coverage linebackers, it's a big deal I think.Pandarilla likes this.
