I have to hold onto my Dan Marino football during the games... And drink lots of beer as to numb the pain of too close for comfort games (last season anyway - hopefully the same will not be true for 2009 and I will not need and pain numbing)...

Week in and week out was tough to watch, thankfully I was screaming at the end of each game, in agonizing, "thankful" pain saying, "why do they do this to me every week", while on the floor gasping for air happy they won

I paint my nails bright orange and wear aqua shoes.
I've been doing it for so long I'm afraid to change it up because I don't want to be responsible for what happens.

never shave on the day of a game - this was kind of a team tradition when I played football (soccer) and just carried it on.

 

I can't wear any dolphins clothing during the game unless I'm in attendance; I swear they lose every time I do...

 

After a loss I change my routine

 

Actually last year starting in week 1 I did not shave till the day we lost in the playoffs. You should have seen my beard. I've got pictures of it somewhere. It was lumberjack quality.

 

Always take a shower an hour before the game and wash my hair twice. Sounds dumb, but when I don't do it, they lose. Didn't before the Cardinals, and both Ravens games last year and see what happened ? :tantrum:

 

I make sure Odin is wearing his Kansas State shirt. lol.

I never watch the games live...I tivo them and start watching about 30 mins in, catch up...stop watching for another 30 mins, etc....I never watch any other games when watching the Fins so as not to see any scores...the only game I watched live last year was the Cards....so I stopped doing it....

 

The jersey rotation was my biggest this year I think my white Ginn Jersey was like 7-2, the Aqua Ronnie jersey was 4-3 and the authentic 'smoke' Ronnie Jersey was 0-1.

 

That shirt must be preserved FOREVER ! :lol:

 

When things are going well I am afraid that if I change anything, including even shifting my position slightly on the couch, I will interrupt the good cosmic currents and cause a fumble, a pick, a missed block or tackle, what have you. So I sit frozen like a statue until the game is out or reach, even if I have had a few brewskis and really need to go. It's an awesome responsibility.

For home Jets games I wear my white Jets socks, for road games I wear the green pair. I always wear the same Jets boxers as well and if the Jets have a winning streak with me wearing that jersey, I continue to wear that jersey while watching the game as the weeks progress. Usually. Once in a whlie I havn't done that and they've lost, so I need to get back into that. I was more into the jersey thing when I was younger. Now its just the socks & boxers I guess. But starting in 2009 I'm bringing back the luck of the jersey too.
