I think the main reason was being outscored.

 

Coaching, we should have completely out coached them with two weeks to gameplan. We started flat and predictable. All 3 phases played sloppy at times. To many 3 and outs and questionable play calls.

 

Coaching and Tyson Clabo.

Coaching specifically Philbin. Sticking with Clabo. Cluess about how to teach a QB not to fumble or how to move in the pocket. Philbin and Co. are worse than the team.

 

Can't turn the ball over 3 times and expect to win!

Take away any one of the turnovers, we probably win.

We got out played... The better team won.. No single play lost the game, sure the strip sack sealed our fate but if we were a good football team we wouldn't have been in that situation...

 

Turnovers and OL. You aren't going to win many games in this league when you turn it over 3 times. On top of that, we spotted them 7 points with the pick 6. When you factor in the pick on the 1 yard line and the fumble that gave Buffalo the go ahead win, it's pretty easy to see why we lost this game.

 

Coaching

 

It's Ryan Tannehill by a pretty huge margin, and it's really baffling that a dozen posts in and I'm the first to mention it.

 

The offense with three turnovers in the game.

The defense by constantly giving up big plays on third and long.

Coaching which is mediocre at best and this certainly includes Philbin. If as the HC, he wanted the team to run the ball at the end of the game, all he had to do was tell Sherman to keep the ball on the ground. Sherman may have called the pass play, but as the HC, Philbin has final say over the plays called for the offense, especially when the team is leading and trying to run out the clock.

Last but not least, Ireland. He has had six years to provide this organization with the talent to win against teams like the Bills, especially at home. He consistently drafts and signs mediocre talent and that is why for the past 4 years and 6 games this year, the Dolphins are nothing but a mediocre team.

 

That fumble killed us but man can we tackle people? On 3rd down i seen so many missed tackles that gave them a first down.

 

Turnovers. 2 of which were by our QB. 1 went for a TD. Don Jones stupid ST penalty.

Ryan Tannehill's issue today I don't think stops or starts with turnovers.

 

They were not the better team.
We beat ourselves.
The only thing Buffalo gets credit for is being North Mississippi.

 

Agreed. I said "turnovers". IMO two of those are unquestionably on Tannehill.

The third you could argue that it was more Williams making a great play. I wouldn't. But it could be done.

Tannehill overcame his mistakes. Clabo did not. Clabo should not have had to if the right play (run) was called.

 

Another option could be Home Field Disadvantage! Seems like that's the way it is anymore!

 

What Tannehill issues? Inaccuracy when he had a chance to win the game with a throw to Hartline. No pocket awarneness, butter fingers, wasting his god given talent to run when a play breaks down, basically not they type of leader you want to win the game when he consistanly losses it. Any other issues?

Tannehill. #1 reason for poor performance. Comes in after a bye, and throws the dumbest pick 6 you will ever see.

I remember Henne threw an Int in Tampa Bay game in his second season straight into the defender, similar to Tannehill's pick 6. There are some things you just can't do and be a winning starter in the NFL.

This guy is not good enough.

 

Took the words right out of my mouth. Yeah the playcalling was bad, Oline was horrible but if we even just turn the ball over once or twice we win. Turning it over 3 times in the NFL, even against bad teams you will lose.

 

New logo and same old Dolphins.

 

Tannehill sucked in the first half but the play calling was horrible late in the game. This offense has to be able to sustain a drive even to kill some clock. Offensive line was a mess in pass protections and thats why I blame the play calling.

Tannehill is regressing a little to quickly for my liking. He needs to stop pressing SO HARD or it could get a lot worse./

 

Poor coaching, O-Line (Clabo) breaking down again especially late in the game like against Baltimore with a chance to win with a FG, and Tannehill was inconsistent. Overthrowing an open Hartline (though why wasn't that designed for the speedier Wallace?) and some bad turnovers.

 

The overthrow was a busted play where the pressure forced that throw

 

While Tannehill didn't have hist best game (possibly his worst game of the season, Saints Game notwithstanding), he practically dug us out a hole. I have to put this on Clabo. He choked.

 

THill's and his turnover lead to at least 13 point swing in this game. Clabo sucks *** but really THill lost this game.

 

Turnovers didn't lose the game. the LAST turnover lost the game. Which is on Clabo.

 

I remember Marino in his last season throwing a similar pick 6 to either Ted Johnson or Todd Collins.

 

BS, THills turnovers pre the last one cost the Fins 10 points. He doesnt have those turnovers the score is 24-13 pre the last turnover. THill lost the game period

 

I agree. Going to hurt a lot of peoples feeling on here, but Tannehill is the reason they lost. Pick 6, pick in the redzone, and fumble at the end that allowed Buffalo to pick up a couple first downs while running the clock out to win.

Other qbs have terrible lines, but they know how to hold onto the football, esp in big situations like the end of the game.

And I actually liked the gameplan. Running the ball was effective and allowed Tannehill not to get as much pressure put on him
