Maybe I am missing something, but he had a good camp and I thought he was pretty solid with this staff and his spot on the roster.
I have a feeling someone will grab him quickly and it will come back to burn us.

Ireland will churn the roster this yr, none of the bottom 12 players, practice squad included, are safe from the Ax.

They were/are high on him that is why he made the initial roster and played week one.
We are seeing the definition of managing your roster , making moves as situations dictate. Injuries , special teams ability , game day production as I mentioned before , we are seeing Ireland take full control of this team if he had not before.
PS for Micah , fingers crossed , I really like his potential game a year from now. -
I don't know about you guys, but I have never been high on any johnson.:shifty:

Personally I like players with some boom potential for the PS. To me he shouts football player, so I want to see if he can upgrade some of his limitations and further enhance his positive attributes. -

Thanks for the pretty much rolling updates  -
Geathers is on the PS now.
Q is working first team at SOLB Misi on first team on the Weakside. -
yeah we are high on johnson, and thats why he'll be inserted into the rear of the roster on the practice squad, its a slippery area though with guys sliding in and out of there constantly, but hes pretty nicely built, and should find a way to stick for a long time...

As anyone whose had it can attest, food poisoning or stomach virus, it definitely takes a few days to get over.
No way in hell he's out there on the practice field. -

His speed has improved from what he was timed at his pro day. There has been talk he was not completely healthy , and that contributed to his slow timing. Regardless, speed can be improved.
You are limited by your genetics of course but there is a wide spread belief that you can not get faster in sports by quite a few people and that simply is not true. Seeing that he has improved that aspect , I see no reason he can't further that improvement , at least some what with the correct training, specifically plyometric intense training.
Awareness is also something that can be improved , imo , by practise. There was a saying in my baseball days , and taken by Cal Ripken for his training academy , "Practise doesn't make perfect, perfect practice does... " Maybe simplyfying things at least a touch , but true imo.
Zach Thomas is a good example of how film study can make you instinctually better or more aware. If you do things right , you can improve. While I love Zach , he was much better going forward than backward as well, not to the extent how Micah is limited of course.
I also agree he almost assuredly will always be somewhat limited and primarily a 2 down back , I see him being able to strenghten his positives and improving ( somewhat ) on his negatives. To me he looks like and has shown he is a football player.
