For the 2010 what has you more excited the offense or the defense and why? For me it's got to be the defense. I'm extremely excited about the offense and Marshall, but I got a feeling the phins defense is going to be absolutely sick! What say you?
Gotta go offense. Let's face it; we've been saddled with mediocre options @ WR for years. We now have a strong armed QB with a lot of potential. Plus we now have an extremely talented WR in Brandon Marshall. I'm looking forward to a great year offensively.
I had to say both. Offense: We get healthy and return Ronnie and Ricky. We revamped the line with I hope a young starter, and a nasty incognito SOB! Gives us good depth at guard. But as we all know we brought in that Wideout (whats his name again? lol I forget) that opens it all up. Looks fun to me. Defense: WoW look at the young talent we got. Odrick, Misi look solid and Jones intrigues me. The re WAKE ing and our young corners in there second year. But most important, i,m excited to see what Nolan has for us on sundays. Oh yeah i remember now some call him the Beast.
Defense simply because its what i think will be more consistent in the season Offense has too many risk for me, Will chad henne be a better qb than he was last year, when is ronnie gonna get injured again, is brandon marshall gonna be worth our trade, is our O-line gonna be healthy and not all get injured in one game. While defense we have a solid playmaking linebacker in Dansby, pro bowl Strong safety in Bell, Young Cornerbacks, and tough d-line. only concern i have on the defensive side is FS and NT, is Randy Starks really our guy, which 5th round pick FS is gonna be our guy Speedy Clemons or Striker Jones or Veteran Culver
I voted for both. Why? Nolan on Defense and "The Beast" on Offense. Henne no longer has any excuse on Offense and Nolan has his input into our Defense. Are you ready for some "FOOTBALL?"
This is not an easy question to answer if you have decide one or the other. There are improvements on both sides of the ball. If the offense can stay healthy it could be a very good year with the addition of a true franchise wide receiver. With the wide receiving corp and a healthy running attack this could be a very potent offense. With the addition of Dansby it could provide the on the field leadership the defense has lacked since Zac Thomas. If The rookies can be consistant and the front three provide some pressure it could be a very exciting defense. I guess if I had to choose between the two I would have to say the defense. The Dolphins are building a young, physical defense that may surprise a lot of people and excite a lot of Dolphin fans.
Brandon Marshall is intriguing, no doubt. But I'm keeping my mind open on that one, no one knows if it will work out or not just yet. Even after year one. I learned my lesson with Ricky, sadly, not to get too infatuated with elite players on my team. Im a defense-guy, so naturally I had to go there. Plus, it was a weakness last year and the draft was 80% defense, so I'd like to see what we got there.
Are you sure?...... ..I've got to tell ya; I've got my doubts. I look at your avatar and sig, all I'm seeing is offense. What's up with that?
Offense. Henne has nearly a season starting under his belt and has a new superstar WR to work with. Ronnie Brown is back healthy again (for as long as that lasts). Hartline will have more experience to go with his obvious talent. On defense, we have a bunch of rookies and young players who show promise but haven't yet delivered on it and we don't know yet how long they will take to mature or how they'll mesh.
i would have to say Offense because of Ronnie Brown coming back and Brandon Marshall coming to miami and a couple new OGs and chad Henne going into his second year starting
Offense: Seeing Brandon Marshall and how this should open up our entire offense. This should lead to more big plays, more scoring, and just making it more enjoyable watching them play. Defense: Lots of newbies, especially at LB. I can't wait for September and both sides of the ball have me excited.
Defense for sure. Its the key to us winning. Alot of new draft picks there too. Also some guy named Dansby
I would choose offense if I had to pick, but honestly, I'd assume we're all fairly excited for both. Offense: Yes we added a true #1 WR for the first time in God knows how long. But it's more about what having Marshall does for the rest of the guys. I expect Davone Bess to pull Wes Welker like numbers (exaggerating a bit) and Camarillo to continue to use glue on his gloves. Having Marshall also makes defenses alter their game plans against us. Henne can throw; which means we aren't a run first type team anymore, we can finish with a strong run, a wildcat option, screen to what I'd assume to be our open TE's or slot receivers, or launch one to Marshall. There's nothing not to be excited about with this. Defense: Lets say we're all hyped about our defense because of how heavily we focused on it in the draft. But I honestly think the biggest thing to be excited about is our CB's having a year of experience under their belt now. (Which I think will play a huge part in our defense turning it around. We are also extremely young on Defense and I love it. So many defensive players that can move around and play different positions. The depth is sickening. Expecting big things.....hopefully we don't have any incidents with Marshall fondling 20 year old girls in bar bathrooms
I'm normally a defensive lover type of football fan, but this year the O with Marshall is very, very intriguing. I really would have loved to have seen Ginn opposite Marshall with his speed, but...you know. Still, we've all been saying we are missing that one 'big play-maker' on this squad. Well, we have him now. I think Brown, Williams, Fasano, Hartline, Cammy and Bess are chomping at the bits right about now thinking of being able to actually put a team on it's ear instead of grinding the ball and letting them back in the game. Also, making our O better automatically improves our D... Our D might be exciting, but with all the youth, the uncertainty at the OLB, NT and FS spots and the young CBs (they should be much better too) it would be a little shaky to vote for them...Now in a year or so....things might be much different.
Both. On offense, I think a deserving amount of attention has been given to how much better Marshal will make our receiving corps, particularly allowing Bess/Hartline to play more natural roles. But I have great expectations from our OG pickups and am really excited about John Kerry. Kerry and Jake Long are going to be bulldozers on the left side together. Defense will be a lot more fun to watch with Nolan's scheme, especially with Wake and Dansby. Our defensive went from aging 1-2 years ago to very young and will take time to develop together. We'll definitely be a tuff team that no one wants to play this year. The Jets picked up a lot of veteran players, but we're built young and for the future. I'm excited for both sides of the ball
Both. There are real reasons to be excited about both sides of the ball this year. Marshall's impact is going to be huge on offense this year and all of the changes on Defense, Nolan, Dansby and the rooks looks very promising for the future. This team is going to be very good.
