I enjoy watching some other teams. The Giants (ever since they beat the Pats twice in the Superbowl), the 49ers, the Seahawks. Any other teams you really love watching?
new orleans. i like watching competent offenses, something we havent had since marino. i like watching sean peyton on the sideline actually coaching. its a breath of fresh air. for some reason we insist on hiring head coaches who literally do nothing on the sideline but fist pump field goals or look like a damn corpse.
Baltimore and San Diego. Ravens because I've been going to their home games for last 8 yrs or so... about 3 a season. Chargers because I'm an NC State fan so I have to follow Rivers.
I root for Dallas a lil, games are funner when they are in it. I can appreciate any NFC West matchup aswell.
I used to like the Lions and Rams. Rams because I have relatives there and enjoyed a visit with them a few years ago, and the Lions basically because of Barry Sanders, plus they used to be perennial underdogs and who doesn't like rooting for an underdog as long as it's not against your team. I say used to, because it's harder to root for the Rams now that Fisher and Long turned us down to go there, and I really didn't like Schwartz so I went off the Lions as well. I still semi follow them, but not as interested as I was.
I also like the Lions for no good reason. Needless to say the past 10+ years have not been kind to these two ,so not a lot to feel good about.
Agreed. Drew Brees and the Saints really reminds me of the early - mid 90s Dolphins teams that I grew up watching. Drew Brees putting that team on his shoulder, and just torching defenses is so much fun to watch. Cementing the Saints as my favorite non-Dolphins team is the fact that I vacation in New Orleans at least once a year and Drew Brees has been my fantasy QB for the last 3 1/2 seasons.
the giants. it was my grandmother and my grandfathers team so they became my second team after the dolphins.
Green Bay here too. Lived there for about 5-6 years as a kid and went to a couple of games (during the crap era pre-favre), so holds good memories. Many of my relatives are Pack fans. The rest are all Bears fans.
I like watching those teams also for various reasons (love the make up of the 49ers and Hawks and the way they play). I enjoy watching the Packers (for Lambeau field and for their offense when they are on). Also like watching games in Seattle because of their stadium. I tend to like watching the more traditional franchises when they are good. I always love watching cold-weather, outdoor games. So I favor watching those teams. I cannot abide or root for any team that plays in a dome. I would probably hate the NFL if all I got to watch were the Saints and Falcons. I hate games in domes; dislike synthetic turf but can tolerate it if it is in a cold weather site.
I used to root for the Cowboys when Don Meredith was their QB. Had a lot of respect back then for the Packers too though. I kind of root for Arizona because they were bad for so long. I liked the Rams about the time they went to their first Super Bowl. The one where Jack Youngblood played with a broken bone in his leg. I guess if I had to pick the one non Dolphins team I root for now today, it would be the Packers.
Used to like the Ravens due to their heavy UM connection with Lewis and Reed. Plus loved their defensive style. Still like them a bit though I hate that they've ended our last two postseasons. I kind of like the Lions now because of Calvin Johnson who I wanted to trade up for soooo badly.
Its not possible to have another "favorite team". I root against the Pats, Jets, Bills, & Ravens every week. I also generally root against the Raiders, Redskins, Cowboys & 49ers also. My family is made up mostly of Steeler fans, so I watch their games if the Fins aren't on a lot of the time, and its good to see them beat our rivals. I could care less if they lose to other teams though.
"Turn out the lights, the party's over …" An underrated QB who did a good job on a really good team. Loved some of those Cowboy players then (Lilly, Garrison, Bullet-Bob Hays) but eventually came to despise the 'Boys in the 70's (even though I liked and respected Staubach. He was such a great QB in the clutch).
It's weird, been like this all my life, but I have no feelings for any other team in any other sport, the only team that got me rooting for them was USA soccer.
Women's soccer is ok to watch, but other than that it's usually about as exciting to me as watching paint dry.
I root for a NFC team and my AFC is always the Dolphins. There are a few teams that I never root for and most likely never will, there's a point where the dislike will never go away.
I like the Cards the white helmets and I like the way San Diago plays and Phillip Rivers an NC State product. I hate the Ravens and Steelers.
The Panthers are my local team and Ive been becoming more of a fan each year. Also, I dont know about anyone else, but the Bears Packers and Browns are the teams that automatically come to mind in regards to the NFL. They just seem to be the heart and soul of what its all about. With out those teams it would be weird,...like Arena Football or NFL europe. So because of that, Ive always had a sort of appreciation of those teams.....
I dont really follow any other team, but if I had to pick it would be the Lions since I have a lot of family up that way who are Lions fans. Other than that I just tend to root for particular players that I like, and my Fantasy players.
