What the F is going on....Orlando shootings

This is getting beyond crazy now with all of these shootings in public places. If you don't like your life and want to end it, fine just do it but don't kill innocent people because you're not happy.

Orlando office building gunman on the loose

ORLANDO, Fla. – Police are searching for a gunman who injured at least eight people at a downtown Orlando, Fla., office building.
People are streaming out of the building and some say they have barricaded themselves inside their offices.

Orange County Sheriff's Spokesman Jim Solomons says his department is backing up Orlando police and they're still looking for an armed man wearing a light blue polo shirt and jeans.

2 dead,7 critically wounded

Update at 12:59 p.m. ET: The Orlando Sentinel, quoting police, say two people are dead in the shooting.

Update at 1:15 p.m. ET: USA TODAY's Kevin Johnson quotes city officials as saying at least 7 people were critically wounded in the mass shooting and that the suspected attacker is still at large.

So much for my last statement, my thoughts and prays go out to all those hurt and their families.

Orlando Fire Department District Chief Michael Droege said an unknown number of people were still in the building and could be injured. He said the SWAT team was still trying to pull people out.

"The building is not secure now," he said. "It's still unfolding."

Orlando police were searching for an armed man wearing a light blue polo shirt and jeans, said Orange County Sheriff's Spokesman Jim Solomons, whose department was called in for backup...

Interstate 4 was closed in both directions through downtown and a nearby school was locked down.

Rows of ambulances lined up outside the building as police snipers took up positions around the building and officers on foot and horseback searched the area.

holiday as in......people cant afford to make these happy holidays for their families......the stress can be un-worldly.

i work at a bank....robberies go up during the holidays......people are desperate.

I feel truly sorry for the people (apparently large amounts from what you say) who think that happy holidays come from gifts and whatnot. I guess I am spoiled, having lived my entire life in the heart of the Bible belt.

I don't mean to sidetrack the conversation from a terrible incident, it just really pains my heart to think that this might me a contributing factor.

This is also when people feel the loneliest. I have met a lot of people who hate the holidays because it reminds them that they do not have anyone special to share it with.

One person killed, five others wounded.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A gunman opened fire Friday in the offices of an engineering firm where he was let go more than two years ago, authorities said, killing one person and injuring five others.

Jason Rodriguez, 40, surrendered about three hours later, after officers saw him through the window of his mother's home and asked him to come outside, Orlando Police Chief Val Demings said.

Asked by a reporter outside the police station why he did it, he replied: "Because they left me to rot."

Sad indeed. I can't help but think of how people in Orlando would always grab any opportunity to rag on Miami about crime as if they were somehow immune. Very hypocritical considering they've had a higher murder rate.
