This potentially incoming news, if viewed through a calm, objective and rational prism, would show that really no one involved is an evil monster on either side, just a few mistakes were made. The problem is, we're dealing with fans and the press, nether of which are calm, objective and rational. The fans are a confused and angry and the press will continue to guide the narrative in a way that stokes the anger and confusion, because that's in their best interest.

I hope at least some remember this going forward, but I'm probably hoping for too much.

Im sure. But..being what we have for a society today..probably Ross best thing to do..is to just drop the axe fast. Dont let the ****storm build. It sucks..but Im getting the sense this is about to look very ugly.

It has nothing to do with generating revenue.

Anyone can view this website at any time. And we have had instances of reporting lifting stories, sometimes even plagiarizing, from the forums before. It's more to protect those folks who may be sharing sensitive information - there's less chance that something can come back on them.
